MOTM, i know, i wish i'd have put myself on the list years ago but they'd only let me go for a 2 bed then so i guess i'd be no better off. I don't think my DS is going to be happy about sharing with a 4 year old girl, when he's 11. Only other option is to keep her in with me, it's not like it's going to affect any relationship/sex life is it :rotfl:
You never know. In 10 years you could have 7 youngsters like me :eek:0 -
Morning all..
We've been up since 10am, been a whirlwind of porridge and crumpet eating and milk and tea drinking ever since
Button, you tackled the washing up yet? I've started..
Forgot to say yesterday.. Monster-in-law (kinda) turned up unannouced again last night. She was saying FIL had "tried to come round a few times but you're always out" - errr, when has he tried?! The last two Thursday afternoons? Hardly always! Anyway, I said we were only out on Wednesdays and Thursday afternoons, and that Weds was because I was at BFing supporter training. Her response? "Are you still BFing? Why? What do you want to do that [the training] for?"... *rolleyes*
Speaking of that, I have some homework to get done for tomorrow afternoon too. Reading the info leaflets and writing down what I think. They said we don't have to do it, but I think I should at least read it so I know what I should have done (I will do it too though).
Day at home today. Perhaps some intense training so Rhys gets more ticks in the boxes tomorrow, but I'm really not that fussedHe'll do what he wants in his own time
Hope everyone is okayxx
ETA: All this talk of Sophies.. it was me who asked and I seem to be the only one who hasn't ordered one (yet!)0 -
oh the poop talk reminds me, did I tell you all about Ed's mega pooping on the flight home after skiing?
We'd been sat there ages waiting for the de-icer truck to get to us, seatbelt sign on and Ed poops. so I pressed the call button and they say we won't be moving for a bit anyway so I can go change him (on the tiny changing table that he only just fitted on!) all changed fine, sit back down.
Finally take off, I feed him so avoid ear popping and hear napy noises *rolleyes* so as soon as seat belt sign goes off I'm back to the loo to change him, lay him down and see yellow on his suit , open buttons to reveal poopsplosion, faff about cleaning up/removing clothing whilst beind shook about as plane still climbing.
return to seat with nudey baby and now have only 2 wipes, 1 nappy left, dress baby in spare clothes.
cabin crew start serving food, Ed poops AGAIN!!! thankfully it was small and no more arrived coz then I would have been stuck as no more nappies/wipes coz they were in the hold - he'd have been put in one of Chris's pull ups and crossed our fingers lol0 -
MOTM I'm just being nebby really - but how do the bedrooms work out in your house? (Unless you live in an 8 bedroomed mansion?). How is it decided who shares with who?:beer:0

GISI, I keep meaning to ask the fairies for your Breastflow bottle...has anyone claimed? Finn hates the TT CTN nipples but loves his Breastflow one.:
Aless, I have an unused breastflow bottle you can have too, if you want it. Just PM me your address.Approach any poo relief remedy with caution. You dont want to be bathing a baby at 6am due to such a large breach its come up and out the back of the neck and into the hair like we did this morning _pale_
I havent even attempted rescuing the babygrow, sleeping bag or cot sheet, it all went straight in the bin!
Buttons, I make chicken and bacon with pasta in a cheese sauce with mushrooms and whole cherry tomatoes - delicious! The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents:D

Aww glad you & Harry are doing well! When's your next appt for the camera? Good luck!
He has another hosp apt in 5 weeks but that is just the consultant i am waiting for an apt for the camera from the ENT department, i don't know how long that wait will be. He may have to go to the childrens hospital for that instead of my local.
I have just had a letter asking me to attend my 6 week examination  I hate that word lol Then it says a letter will be sent out at a later date for harry's 8 week check. But he will already be nearly 9 weeks when i have my check as it isn't booked untill the 2nd week in feb. Why do they have to be on different days/weeks?
Last time they did us both together, well i didn't really get called for a 6 week check it was my ds who had the 6 week check and the doc just said are you feeling ok? do you want to go back on the pill? then did all the tests on ds. Do you think he will check my section scar? There isn't a need to look at my foof is there? This is my signature!0 -

Next you will be telling me that Fergie needs another haircut
I have a tesco order coming between 8pm and 10pm tonight. Shall I put a 'please knock, baby sleeping' notice on the door? our doorbell is very loud!
Bruno, DW sounds in a hard place again. I know she says stuff to you that's negative rather than saying it to E (good strategy). I just wondered about you asking her for her own sense of what she'd be saying about him that feels within her normal range of irkedness and exhaustion, and what kind of comment she'd want you to take seriously and interpret as a cry for help. Does that make any sense?
Like I know people who could use the word 'hate' very easily, and it wouldn't mean much if they said it, but for others it would mean, I am worried about myself and the severity of the negative feelings I have towards this child. Then you'd maybe have a clearer idea of when she wants you to be  about it. Also puts her back in quite an adult place if she's doing the deciding about what words trigger the worry zone IYSWIM?
And like MFD said, all meant with lots of love and respect to you both xxx

oh and AK "As the meals are aimed at 1 to 4 year olds, it is also important to remember that we state on pack the meals are a generous portion for young toddlers and most would not eat the whole contents. The guidelines for 4 year olds are 3g per day. The portion we provide would feed a hungry four year old so 1g in a main meal is not too much at all. A one year old would manage about half a portion and we know that our parents divide the meals for younger children or split them between two children. Even if a toddler of one or two were to eat the entire meal this would still be OK for part of a balanced diet - for example if the baby had porridge and fruit for breakfast and something like chicken and rice for lunch (in fact our chicken and Rice meal contains 0.6 g of salt and 0.7 g of saturated fat per 220g"
Chris doesn't eat anywhere near as much as his same aged counterparts but would always polish off a whole one of those lasanges at 15ish months!
I'm a bad mummyhe went through a phase (about 3mths) where all he would eat for evening meal was AK meals or pizza.
on occasions when he didn't finish one OH or I would eat the left overs (because they are scrummy!!) I'm very sensitive to salt in things but never found them salty so franky I don't give 2 hoots about it
as you were0 -
I have cans of condensed mushroom soup, could I use that, with some cheese or cream or something added?
I do like the sound of your cheesy mushroom and cheery toms Hammy, but OH only likes veg if he can't see it. A child!
Keira is dressed a bit psychadelic. Dora the explorer Tshirt, pale denim skirt, bright pink stripey tights and black tartan shoes. FASHION CRIME!! Teehee. I just let her pick what she wants, it's only nursery0 -
HI everyone
I haven't read back, I have had friends round all morning and now they have just left, dh has gone for his bike test and Kai has been asleep since 11am, so it is lovely and quiet....although I am pretty certain the little monkey will wake very soon for din dins:)
I just wanted a quick opinion please, has anyone seen this moses basket in their Asda...is it any good? I want a moses basket as cheap as possible, free would be even better but this is about the max I am willing to pay (well probably a bit ver really) Only reason is my first two only used theirs for a max of 10wks between them, and Kai never had one but LOVED his carrycot until he grew out of it at 8wks...so I am sure the max use any moses basket will get is a couple of months, but I realised (through Kai) that some babies do just love small cosy spaces to sleep, at least at first!! I really don't want to buy one though....
I will try and do a quick catch up before he wakes:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0
