:grouphug: to everyone in the Beccles household.
Oh Katie has been a very grown up girl the last 2 nights - no mummy juice before bed, last night I just wasn't well enough and tonight I just didn't offer she did ask but I managed to distract her with a story.

She still has a bf in the morning.
Alice is down to just mornings now too. I expected her to drop the morning before the evening feed so I was suprised.

sugar is added to lots of baby foods/drinks to make them sweet as babies 'apparently' need food/drink to be sweet to eat/drink.
I'm sure they only end up "needing" things to be sweet because the baby food is made sweet so they get used to it.

once he finally got to sleep around 11, it wasn't too bad last night. really hope doesn't cry all day today - I'm wondering if it's related to the fact that he hasn't done a poo in a week now? honestly, how do you tell the difference between a constipated face and normal baby crying? There's been no hard stools or blood or anything so I have no idea if it's real constipation or if he's just 1 of those that does 1 explosive poo a week and that's it...just wish he'd done 1 already!
Brestfed babies can be very variable with poos but if in doubt always check with someone. You can always phone NHS direct.
Anyone know what I could make for dinner with 1 chicken breast and I think 5 rashers of bacon? It needs used, and if it doesn't today then the chicken at least will need the heave ho. Savveeeee me.
    Chicken and Bacon pasta?

aless harry doesn't go very often at all. But it is about every 3 days and he is breast feed too. I agree i think a week is a bit too long. ring your HV and she will be able to give you advice.

It has been so hectic here what with hospital apts I haven't had chance to come on at all. He is putting on lots of weight and is now 8lbs 3oz at 6 weeks the consultant is very happy with him, although he is being a bit funny with feeding again. He chokes a lot and spits it out like it is going down the wrong way but he had a chest x-ray and they made him swallow some dye to see if there was any obstruction and it was all ok so we are still a bit confused. He still has his Strider and sucks in his chest when he breathes which make it look like he is really struggling and has to put lots of effort into breathing. Other than that he is very contented and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. His noise is quite reassuring as when he stops making it from time to time I panic and think he isn't breathing. It will be odd when/if he stops doing it all the time.
He has to have a camera put down his throat next and i am hoping My hubby ill be able to get time off work to come with me, I really don't want to see it.

He has only been waking once in the night but he always takes a little while settling to go back to sleep after the feed. It seems he doesn't like his Moses basket. He falls back to sleep the moment I pick him up then cries when I put him back in it. Last night was the worst he was awake from 1.30 till 4.30. I don't know what to do. His normal cot won't
    fit in our room.

Aww glad you & Harry are doing well! When's your next appt for the camera? Good luck!

    I still don't have a cot.

So.... i'm looking at dark wood ones, not sure why except it matches my bed lol, and given my above post she might be in there forever :rotfl:

I keep looking at this one: http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Nursery/Cots-and-Cotbeds/Kensington-Cotbed-in-Dark-Oak%280073418%29

But would need to buy a mattress...

So then i looked at this one http://www.tuttibambini.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=307 which has a spring mattress included.

Can someone just choose one for me cos it's annoying now :rotfl:

Chicken and bacon pasta sounds good. But what kind of sauce would you do that in? I'm a bit useless with pasta things, unless it's spag lol or lasagne! Also we like things quite saucy as dry pasta makes me boak.

I wish Keira would have a soft poo, her poo's look like rabbit droppings :( though they look moist enough? She eats a lot of fibre with apples and weetabix, pure apple juice she likes too. Not enough vegetables?

Annabel Karmel says "Toddlers are notoriously fussy eaters and we are providing a solution for parents by developing meals that contain nutrients they need but also appeal to the child."

I know some toddlers are fussy but so are some adults. Surely that is a self fulfilling prophesy saying that kind of thing and is just going to lead to more fussy adults and greater dependency on ready meals in the future?

I like the look of the second one best.

Susan Maybe it's a masterplan by the ready meal manufacturers to get us all hooked and reliant on their overpriced meals. Paranoid, moi? :)

Some kind of white sauce eg. mushroom sauce. Or you could do a tomatoey kind of thing with a tin of tomatoes.

I'd go for the second partly because it's got a mattress so probably works out cheaper and partly because I object to Toys R Us (due to their incompetence and disregard for the law with regard to car seats).
