Chopsticks, I've given up on getting El to have daytime sleeps in the cot but if I stick her in the pram and wheel it up and down the hall a few times she sleeps like a dream for me, is that worth a try or do you need her to sleep in the cot?

The only reason we changed from pram to cot is that her pram is very shallow (see pic below) and when she starts being able to pull herself up into sitting position, I wouldn't feel easy leaving her in it, as I think she'd fall out very easily.

Also, the carrycot bit is the bit that converts into the pushchair and I've just started using it as a pushchair so she can see more when we're out and about.

I just don't know what the best thing to do is :(

I was also going to say. I think there are only Beannie, Susan, Becles and me in the North East but if any of you are interested in sorting out a meet we could try to arrange a suitable destination and time for us all?
Good idea - are you in newcastle? There's a few more from the preggy thread. CAFC is near me, and kindof is northumberland i think, wonder if they'd wanna come

Booger, it was this account, and no sign of a dispatch email, although maybe if I selected not to receive emails I wouldn't get one?

Good luck with playgroup Jillie - I'm off to bed, I think, or at least to sofa with a book. Everyone else is fast asleep already!

    Hi.

I have a really chilly baby girl. I'm not after medical advice as I've already rung NHS direct who just want me to keep an eye on it but I wondered if anyone else had experienced the same.

Her temp is varying between 35 and 36 degrees and she is well wrapped up and the room is warm. She is never hot, but she feels quite cool to touch.

When you're here on your own it gets a bit worrying when something is a bit different so anyone wishing to share experience in the hope of reassuring me would be most welcomed.

meant to say choppy.... we put K in the cot during the day. I have the room as bright as poss so he knows its not 'nigth sleep time' and this really works. i talk to him more and play his 'piano' which is something he never gets at night.

    dunno if that would help....

try and make the day sleep as dis-similar to night one as poss.
    mum told me this one....
