Caz thats awful. I remember the problems she had at them time but i thought he got what he needed. I didnt realise he was being rationed x

    Agreed! :(

No idea how much ours costs (not much I should think, it's quite common in premmie world!) - they just issue it three tubs at a time, will take us forever to get through that! :o

they have done nothing, a few blood test which 3 out of 4 came back abnormal and they cant see a problem? my sister feeds hium every 2 hours and has to be careful with everything she gives him. its costing her a fortune as she cant give him the things we take for granted! she is back and forward every 2 weeks to the hospital and they dont listen to a thing she has said, the HV is continually weighing him and his red book has FAILURE TO THRIVE written all over it, my sister is close to killing someone lol!
What's for you won't go past you

Happy Birthday to angelas DD !!
And I cant see the pic :(

Glam, have you considered emailing SMA, Aptimal and C & G and ask them if you could have a sample of their follow on milk or a discount voucher as you are due to change your babies milk and would like to see if he is able to take it, but when a new mum on a budget, you cannot afford to buy a full tin inthe event he cant or wont take it ??

I have a sample of the Hipp Organic from Sugar and I thought I might just buy a few of the cartons and see how we go. I am definitely going to move onto the Stage 3 - one because I want to switch his milk anyway (for financial reasons) and two I can get points if I buy in Boots ;):)

I take it you're making it with cows milk?! I make Rhys' with EBM and there's no way I'm trying that! _pale_ (nor if it was made with formula.. particular the one Rhys has as it's minging!)

SM, what porridge are you using that comes in sachets?

Rhys is having five bottles a day, between 100-150ml :)

I make it with water :rotfl:C&G Banana & Fruity Porridge is made with water but the Banana & Strawberry needs formula. Not made that yet as CBA to make a seperate bottle for that!

Jack is having 5 bottles a day, between 150ml-180ml and I really worry so glad Rhys is on a similar amount. He has 2 meals a day atm

    The pic is gorgeous Angela!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

  • Is my baby a greedy sod or what ??? lol
He has 4 bottles a day (and downs them) of 240 ml and then throws up a little bit of that and has a largish portion of porridge in the morning, a good lunch of normally sweet potato BNS or something similar and a yougart and then a finger food snack type thing that a lttle tiny bit of goes into his mouth and the rest in his hair, ear, eye nose etc ....

According to the packet or just how you make it? I CBA to get up to look :p Ours are all made with EBM, double cream and pear puree - pampered pants here! :rotfl:

ETA: I'm hoping Rhys doesn't start wanting more than 150ml... I'd have to buy bigger bottles! :rotfl:

Speaking of bottles, when are they "supposed" to be off bottles/teats? *confused* We've not bothered much with Rhys sippy cup yet (the TT basic one) because he only drinks milk (for the calories), but I gave him it earlier and he grabbed it with two hands and put it to his mouth  Didn't get owt out of it because I hadn't put the spout up thinking he wouldn't know what to do with it! :o

    Lovely pic Angela:)

Caz - I can't believe they aren't doing anything, and to only be giving half of the amount of milk he actually needs is disgraceful. I remember you talking about him before you vanished and I also thought that he had been helped a lot more than that!!! Poor little fella and your poor sister must be going out of her mind too:(
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
