    Hi all

Reading about that hamper for the house move - this isn't a glamorous pressie, but very useful - what about one of those jars that hold emergency keys? Where you get a toilet roll tube and fit it in the jar to put the key in, then surround it with either kitchen related things e.g. dry noodles, or else nails (if it's to be kept in a shed) or buttons or something. Nothing worse than moving to a new house and then finding you've misplaced an important key.

    I'm feeling organised!

I bought a book for my mum for mothers day today - only £1.99. Also bought a recipe box for her for Christmas - should have been £10.75, was £2.40. Feeling organised here! :)

Mum2one - don't feel bad about the PTA stuff - they seem to breed some odd people from time to time - I'm secretary for our PTA and do minutes and letters to go out etc and people do not realise how hard it is sometimes. Our chairperson resigned, so we have a stand-in from the Governors who is a bit of a pain in the backside, but I just try to not let her get to me (very hard!).

Chin up, you've done the right thing if it is bothering you it is not worth it.

Hello all :j Love the 'moving in' ideas............so thoughtful.
mum2one- don't worry about pta.........nothing is worth getting het up about............let them get on with it, sit back and take a well earned rest.

Made all my Easter cards now and felt a real idiot when OH pointed out that this year Easter is same day as sons birthday........oh well, he'll get two cards this year:rotfl:

Paper came I'd ordered so all I need now are some shoe boxes to get covering...........Monday - can't wait now. Starting to wish I'd gone down this morning..........oh well.............not to worry.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well done on being so organised, I've got a couple of bits but trying to concentrate on making money instead of spending it at the moment. That and my Boots had nothing in there 75% off sale and everything on the internet was sold out. I am doing well on my ideas list though and got a spreadsheet set up for birthdays and christmases I need to buy for so still feeling poitive.
Well done everybody your support really keeps me going.
Trying to be money neutral for christmas
  • Evening everyone, just catching up on posts, everyone seems so organised!

So far I have started to fill in the spreadsheet with all the things I have bought so far, just need to find receipts to see price paid etc I didn't think to look at my receipts at the Boots sale.

Mothers day sorted, most birthdays sorted, half of christmas sorted so far. All cards bought and gift tags/gift bags. Like others though I am quickly running out of space!

Love the idea of hampers, may make a christmas eve hamper for my DD too she will be16 months at christmas so may not understand though :snow_grin

I'm adding a page onto my spreadsheet of things I need to buy, and to look out for in case there are any offers throughout the year.

I think I'm getting a bit addicted to MSE, I'm permanently on here looking at comps, grabbits and mostly the christmas forum :rotfl:Perhaps I should try myhand at something crafty :)
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff

Thanks mum2one for the gift tag and pressy ideas :) Wrapping paper has big stars on so could easily use those.

I have a key to the house so might sneak in and leave surprise first day supplies. They won't have a cooker til 5th Feb either so think I might have a cookathon this weekend so I can take her some 'proper' food that she can freeze and microwave - otherwise they're going to be stuck with pot noodles and ready meals :)

    Awww - that'll be really nice:A
