Evening all, just got two lovely neckaces from the Oxfam site - both reduced from £14.99 to £4.49, there's some really nice jewellery left in their sale, might be worth a look. There's 10% Quidco and delivery costs are voluntary :)

    Xmas Saver!
went via our other Boots shop (on retail park) they'd got 3 shelves left of 75% stuff, so got couple bits
Teletubies toy - £4.50 instead of £18. Friends little boys 1st bday April, her hubby coming to set up dds wii, he doesn't want anything for doing it, so thought get a present way of saying thank you.

Did notice they had a lot of the mediteran range of products - 200g pot body scrub, body butters, almond and ??, other grape and ??, they were reduced to £2 a pot, and the bubble bath bottles were £1.50, stocked up bubble bath for dd, shes allergic to the chlorine or what ever chemicals they use in swimming baths, and she goes all dry skin, swimming ngts its prescription bath oil, a pain, leaves the bath like a ice skating rink.. The only other products suit her is the Botantics or the mediteran range, so shes sorted for a while!!

Very exicted got my new Argos catalogue 2day...... its heavy its about twice the size of the last one..... dd already marked off a wack of wii games...
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Its the time we’ve all been waiting for its Santas Challenge....

As usual grab what you fancy...... but that doesn’t mean you get out of all the cleaning!!

Santa’s Challenge has now become a family affair, dd (as I have my name )she’s now decided to be Miss Hoodie, mother throws her 2p worth in..which disappears from the brain... dad he sits there and says do I get a Cider or Beer for helping!! As for Bailey..... he lives up to his name... but he makes the mess..

    Here goes.
    Valentines day
My lovely elf in those glitter tights Sarah, has set the Valentines challenge, so hope everyones having fun.

    Half-term - Parents
This is the bit where we get the children involved... (those without don’t children – ur bit will follow).

Now we’ve had Xmas out of the way, hopefully Xmas prezzies away!! Time to gut the childrens room, top to bottom, inside out, is there anything that they’ve grown out of, any summer clothes left from last yr (same with adults clothes), as this is the best time to sell summer clothes.... before the shops get too much summer stuff, and people take winter hols, go away Easter, peak time.
Is there any ds/wii etc games, that they don’t use.... ebay as people may only brought 1 or 2 at xmas , the units cost enough, nows the time.

    Non – Parents
You don’t get away with it that easily....... you have your bedroom and choose one room of the house, you can leave the kitchen alone for now!

Little Miss Hoodie did suggest top to bottom of the house, but I’m not that cruel!!
    .................................
    The Rubber Gloves

The moment you’ve all been waiting for – its time for the freezer clean... we’ve had Xmas, hopefully no brussel sprouts come back to haunt us, if your anything like me the contents got shoved, squashed, guessing bags of veg split, and I’m sure the odd Brussel Sprout will come with revenge.
For those lucky people with frost free – you can tidy the freezer.

    The Fridge-
    Ditto.... clean and tidy

    Xmas Planning
Ladies you’ve worked hard with the cleaning... so time for a sit down, feet up job... hopefully we all managed to get some bargains in the sale, so its really a case of double checking the list been done, presents allocated, and if you put them up somewhere safe... (pop a note where you’ve put them), my remainder of 800 xmas cards have grown legs and walked out of the loft! And what you still have to get.

    Spare Presents – ADULTS BIRTHDAYS
Just a thought have a back up present ready, one mens, one womens, if they don’t get used ready for xmas...... sorry don’t think chocolates have that gd of a sell by date.
    Spare Presents – CHILDRENS BIRTHDAYS
How many times have we found a party invite in the bottom of the school bag, or a party invite out of the blue... HELP..... we have no presents. This may sound daft, but if you have a rough idea of how many parties last yr, give you an idea of how many presents to have. I have a box in the shed of items that have cost a £1 or less, so Miss Hoodie can grab a couple of gifts and there done. Girls – Shoe Jewellery Box and Bratz swimbag (got 5 of each from Half Cost they were £1 each), boys got some metal construction sets £1.99 (got 5) ready for bday or be used at Xmas.

    Parents – Half Term Treat!!
I’m sure we’re all be pestered with the I want.....can we.......in my case Miss Hoodie is having her 1st sleepover, the daytime taking her + friend to icecream farm (hr away – but free), just buy lunch. Decide before hand what your budget is, what your prepared to do and the conditions to it.

After all that hard work... time for a treat, fun challenge, 2 parts to the challenge
    Part 1....
Have a home made pamper session – the catch is, it must not cost anything...
Face mask, - look for a home made recipie (post ur finds be fab)
deep condition ur hair, - maybe rinse beer, or conditioner and wrap cling film to keep it in..
Foot spa – If you havn’t got one – clean washing up bowl, marbles, warm water, bubble bath
    Pedicure / Paint ur nails

    2nd Part of daft challenge
Wear something that you just wouldn’t normally wear...... that dress that has been in the wardrobe for that ocassion you really wanted it for... still there....or have a silly dress up event and watch your favourite Xmas DVD.

Just hope no-one comes to the door!! But you could say ur being sponsered...

Thou.... you have to tell everyone on the thread what you did for daft challenge and those brave enough.......photos please.....
    .....
It might look like a lot, but as always treat it as a pick and mix....

Only flipped through, but did notice that they have started increasing their craft section.

Glue gun £4.99 - casual crafter, usually glue stick...... didn't know if that was a good price.

    bumper pack of gems- £9.89

That's about the right price but so much better than a glue stick. I usually use the grey pritt sticks but at £2.50ish each they work out expensive. The glue guns are great for adding embellishments etc, that are a bit heavier, and might fall off. Also great for other stuff not just cards - Easter bonnets, I've even hemmed trousers in emergency, tonnes of stuff in fact, not just craft. Once you have it - you won't know what you did without it.

Thanks for the challenges. I was going to do freezer and fridge next week anyway. I dread to think what's lurking at the bottom.

Thanks for the challenges Mum2One, my freezer is pretty bare as I always run it down in January as I have no money due to not being organised for christmas 2009 - hence why I'm joining the threads this year, although I was given a big Beef Brisket that I must have a look how to cook or it may die of frost bite.
I am going to make a start with the kids bedrooms today, I've never sold on ebay before so might give it a try if I find anything worth while.
Trying to be money neutral for christmas
