Congrulations Jamtart.
Come on give all of newbies details. What's the date etc. Whats your dress like? Ooh I love it. Never been there and done that, and at my age doubt I ever will, so I have to be interested in everyone else's.
You've got choc's, smellys and a card sorted, How about a bottle of bubbly, and cook a special meal or better still go out.
To make it more meaningful - instead of the boring old 'Happy Valentines from' inside your card - write a poem about how you can't wait to be his wife' etc you get my drift. A poem doesn't have to ryhme so just say what you want.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I need some inspiration for the valentines day though. Got 3 things (free choccies from Thorntons as a sorry from them, FCUK set and the I LOVE YOU sweets from thorntons, cost me £2.50) but just want some ideas for something a bit more meaningful. Will be our last one before we get married
(and everyone knows when you get married, all the romance is lost haha!!)
How about making a scrapbook for him? It could start from when you met and continue with all the memorable things right up until now. You could leave some pages blank at the back for wedding pictures
I made dh a scrapbook before we got married. It started with a photo of us the day we met (was a friend's birthday so people had cameras - lucky!) then had lots of different things in that we special to us. I collected receipts, cinema tickets, printed pics of meaningful things from the internet, I even printed out song lyrics to our favourite songs. Then I used stickers, nice backing papers and loads of photos of course.
You can get scrapbooks in all sizes so you could do a mini one if you don't have time for a big one.
Failing that you could make him a cd of favourite/meaningful songsMaking money for Christmas 2012!0 -
I've got plan B - if I can't find the same size bottle, still use the glass, bottle opener and a smaller bottle, wrap it in some cello wrap, and bobs ur uncle xx
...or if you get stuck, make a "sock" pint - use black socks in the glass and add a white flannel to the top - it looks like a glass of Guinness - did them for DH and my dad last year and they loved them.Thrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -

:( Took me all my time to sort them out to get to school and then had to go shopping and see the letting agent about the leaking radiators:eek: Checked in Boots while I was out not much left in the one near me, but did manage to pick up a few Startrek goodies for my dad, they will do for fathers day. Oh and some lovely belguim chocs, think they must be same ones others have got as the boes are really cute, also got 4 tins of gaymers cider, so they must have really over stocked on them if were all getting them. Well I have loads of stuff to do today so will try and ctch up later.
Take Care

If anybody is looking for beads for crafting then £1 land currently have bags of them in a variety of colours (by all the stationary). They also have packs of diamante stickers.
HB have sheets of "iron on" letters ideal for the personalised bags I am making for nieces. Bargain at 99p. They also have iron on pictures (can't remember what they were) but there are 5 different styles - all for girls. Also 99p.:jThe toast proposed at our wedding was for "health, wealth and happiness". Our family may not have the health and wealth but we make up for it with the happiness:D
