Thanks, yeah its fondant icing.
Now having soup to heat me up, phoned and im 7 in the Q, but the job is not even out with the engineers, they get more when they phone in, so now im having to get my Aunto to go and collect DD and take her to my mums. I cant even get out to go and get a radiator from argos, so I can heat the house. Least I know she will be warm.
You are all looking so organised. I made toffee crunch but I think I burnt my toffee............ it was just too dark looking, but i put all the bits together, waiting on it setting, thne I will cut it, and if bad then in the bin it goes..........Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Biscotti
100g caster sugar, whisk with 1 egg until glossy ribbon stage (electric whisk needed!)
add 1/2tsp vanilla extract, few drops almond extract and fold in 125g plain flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt
Then fold in 50g natural almonds and 75g chocolate chips
Shape into a log shape approx 25cm x 5cm and bake at 180c for 20-25mins until golden brown
Leave to harden for 5mins then cut into diagonal slices, then bake for a further 10mins. Turn and cook for an further 5 mins and leave to cool on a wire rack
Recipe says 20 slices - 1 got 12 (cut them a bit too thick to begin with)
Just tried a sm piece - not too bad, think it would be nice with a cup of coffee in the morning either for breakfast or for a snack
I'm going to bag them up in 2 bags closer to Christmas Day and just keep them in an airtight container for now, otherwise I'll eat them!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
