  • What a day!! Drove all the way from London to near Telford this afternoon, the weather is dreadful. Seems to have snowed another few inches since I got back...

Have checked the forecast online and doesn't seem to be any more snow coming this week so we might not be snowed in on Christmas day!! :j Still totally freezing though.

Now I'm back I'm properly in the Christmas mood, will ice my cake tomorrow and make a start on the wrapping.

Hope everyone is keeping as warm as they can (thinking of you with no heating esmer)

    :)

I hope they sorted the heating for you Esmer. I'd just go to bed early and stay snug in there.

Well i made two batches of fudge, one cherry and one choc chip. I used the recipe here. I'm not keen on shop bought stuff, but I quite like ths. I can't eat too much though - it's incredibly sweet. I'll do cupcakes tomorrow now, and some more mince pies.

Good for you! I do hope they come out soon, there's nothing worse than waking up due to the cold.

Aww bless esmer, I hope you get it sorted today, they should not have left you with no heat over night with a little one (I know she was at your mums but they dont know that) I feel angry for you hun. Definately phone them again today to get it done, I remeber my heating going years ago in our council property and it took them 5 hours to come out, but they couldnt fix it so bought me 3 of them blow heaters to warm the house until they could, not ideal but at least we were warm. Keep ringing them and keep warm.

    Thinking of you

  • Busy day here, got to work this morning, then hoping to get the last of my wrapping done after I've been shopping to Aldi this afternoon. Want to try and get everything done before I finish on Wednesday so I can put my feet up on thursday and relax with the kids and enjoy the fun.

Hope everyone is doing ok and getting ontop of everything ready for the big day.

This time next week we will have all started getting organised for 2011 :D

Have a great day & Take Care

Esmer - hope you havent long to get it sorted. Dont know what I would do if had no heating, like Mary, I am cold with it on. We dont have central heating, just the gas fire in the front room and a storage heater in the dining room. Have an oil filled radiator thing you plug in up in the spare room and a small heater in the bathroom that doesnt warm the room up and thats it.

We had a load more snow again last night but OH has made it home this morning, is glad to get back to his bed again. Been at work since Sunday. Dont think any more due looking at the forecast but doesnt look like this lot will shift unless we have some rain.

Not going up town today, looking after my Grandson this morning as Son has taken his nan (ExMil) to the hospital. We will go up tomorrow morning and get the rest of the shopping done before we head off to London for the day.
