Morning All, I was awake at 430am this morning, for what reason I dont know. So I went and ordered the Boots OOTW Soap and Glory set, 60.00 down to 25.00. :) I am so tired today though. Its Natasha christmas party today at nursery at 1pm. So we are going to have a lazy morning, and when she is at the party I will go and get some shopping done, I do hope the florists will sell me some cellophane wrap. Im getting anxious cause Im making chocolates and shortbread next wed evening so they are as fresh as possible for everyone. I will attempt the pamper hamper wrapping, and get them done. I will have a look in Tescos for boxes I could wrap and use as hampers........... :)

    Have a good day x

Are you all ready for Christmas now?

I am just about ready for Christmas. Have agreed to go last minute Christmas shopping with my OH on Sunday and off to the Hackney Empire for Panto tomorrow. Can't wait!

Good morning everyone, haven't really done anything Christmassy over the last couple of days, due to hospital visits etc, but dad is now HOME!!! Fetched him yesterday, got to hospital about 4.30 and all he was waiting for was his tablets..... took 2½ hours grrrr... we then had to make our own way off the ward with his frame, the crutches and the comode, I was glad I had gone to fetch him as my mum wouldn't have carried everything nor got it in her car! We got him home about 7.30 and settled. He was already talking about going back to work, but we were very quick to tell him he has got to take it easy and rest up!
I now have 3 more for Christmas dinner too, mum dad and my darling sister are joining us. I have done my final list, just need to go shopping now, nipped into Mr S this morning and picked up some nice party poppers and napkins that were half price, we have vouchers to buy the food so will be going on Monday or Tuesday to do the final shop.
I need to wrap everything now, can't believe we are only a week away, where has the time gone! DS has his football Christmas party this afternoon, I have had all their presents from Mr C to wrap which I managed to do on Wednesday afternoon whilst catching up on some of the programmes I have not had chance to watch.
Definitely need to wrap my Secret Santa present for ladies night, I've got a feeling that what I am giving I will also be getting lol. Need that for tomorrow.
Will be spending most of Sunday doing the wrapping I think and then after Monday (when I break up from work) I can deliver and get the rest of my baking and cleaning done! I have just put the heater on in the conservatory and am going to tackle that later after doing DS room which actually looks like a bomb has gone off!!!

    Hi Everyone

It's my last day at work today before I break up for Christmas so I am feeling kinds festive. It's just started snowing and it's supposed to be bad tomorrow in London. I'm hoping it clears up a bit before next week because I will be driving back to the West Mids for Christmas!

mum2one - there are loads of different ways to do allergy testing - they did it for me and all they did was take some blood then get back to me with the results a few days later. My friend had it done and it was like a patch test on her skin - she was in and out in less than an hour and she didn't have to wear any patches afterwards.

I still haven't started my wrapping, we did some at work yesterday because we always donate toys to a local refuge and that was more than enough! When I look at the pile I just can't be ar**d so start! Will have to do it eventually though I suppose.

Nearly bought the Boots OOTW this morning, I went past the store on the way to work and they had loads in, it was so heavy though! Am supposed to be meeting OH after work tonight and I couldn't face the thought of lugging it about! If I see one at the weekend I might get it, but I'm not too bothered.

Hope everyone is well and keeping warm. Glad to hear various people have their relatives home from the hospital in time for Christmas. Just to add to what everyone else said Mary - I would definitely be making a complaint to the hospital, it's shocking how some people get treated.

Right, better go and brave the weather to get my lunch :)

Just remembered - whoever was asking about midnight, I saw someone called midnightraven3 posting on another thread this morning - is that the same person?

I'm back from the hospital and all ok, justhave to avoid toilettries with this one chemical in now - not as bad as we thought so can still use quite a lot of things and the Dr told me he thought the eczema would improve by avoiding this so fingers crossed

cold is a little bit better today sat here sneezing and sniffling away.

Think I'll put the tree up this afternoon after lunch to make it look Christmassy - the LR needs a good clean so can do this at the same time alongside a lot of hot water, honey and lemon drinks

Ticked off a couple of things on my food list today, called into Lush to look for some shampoo without this chemical in - found some and the boy was it loud in there and the shop assisstants were so over loud and going on about treating yourself and others for Christmas. Couldn't wait to get out of there, must have been this cold making me grumpy! Couldn't wait to get home as felt so rubbish meaning a gentle decorating session today or tomorrow

    Go mcjordi!

I'm way behind that point, trying to work out how to get the decorations out of the cupboard in the room with presents strewn around all over

    Hello all :j

Foxy - glad to hear your dads home:T

OH's mate drove him to the pub for an hour today so he could see some of his mates............now he's made huge shopping list -insists on doing it himself -as long as he has mate with him they can drive down, get it all and bring it back then thats all done.
He won't let me do it..........he's normally ''head chef'' and says he likes to ''see'' stuff he's buying, plus he'll feel more independant if he goes. True I suppose and he manages with dads walking stick........supermarket trolley might be even better providing it goes the right way..............lol
So, least we'll be having some nibbles and stuff for christmas (all we'd got so far was twiglets and cheeselets.............lol)
I'm being ''Delia'' tonight............ Not my favourite job but last nights shepherds pie was joint effort between me and our lad so think its my turn on my own tonight............:(
OH should be wearing ''grumpy old man'' hat but says he's entitled to be one..................lol Fair enough.
Least while he was out today I got a couple of cards made I'd forgotten about -almost felt like ''normality''.....................lol:rotfl:
We've only had a sprinkling of snow thats now gone -hoping it'll avoid us this time........think we've had enough !

Take care, stay warm and safe:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

No snow here and we might not get any this weekend but boy is it cold!

Was a bit naughty and saw a lovely tiffany lamp of QVC to go in the corner of my room which should be perfect - was on ez pay to make it a bit more affordable.

hae got the tree up and the LR decorated and some more christmas yankee candles on

Still sneezing and sniffling away here!
