Don't worry about a money value - HM gifts are always greatly appreciated plus it looks great!

I'm pleased I slowly wrapped the 2 gardening hampers in 2 flexi trugs with last years cello and managed it first time with everything tucked inside and then covered up with tissue paper and cello. Tied it with an elastic band for now and wll tie a big bow around it on Christmas Eve

Glad these 2 are out of the way as I thought they would be really difficult to do and now they look great!

Car care hamper to do next later on after tea, then that's probably it for tonight

    Tomorrow
    Christmas eve hampers to sort
    Kitchen hamper
    Pamper hamper
    rest of brother's hamper

Clean bathroom and attempt to clean the kitchen and make cranberry sauce

To tell the truth Susan - If I were you (especially with a £5 limit) I would just give that. It looks to be worth so much more. If you feel you need to give something else, howabout making her some cupcakes? I bet she'd really love it, with or without another gift. It's beautiful.

This is my first post on this thread but I am somewhat peeved. We have had friends round this evening which was nice but when they left they found a parcel by my front door. I should explain at this point that because there is no road at the front of the house just a path and a playing field most people come in the back as indeed they had.

There was no note or card through the letter box to say it was there. My complaint? Firstly it could have been stolen and secondly it was clearly labelled that it contained fresh flowers. :( The temperature outside is -3. They fortunately look Ok but could easily have been there all night until I took the dogs out in the morning, usually the only time we use the front door. They go out the back way the rest of the day.

Hi gemini, sorry to hear about your flowers, I expect the person who delivered them didnt know you used the back way to come in and out but even so they should have left a card or something. May be they thought you would see them when you came home if they were thinking you used the front door. The problem I have a my house is that I have one of those boxes on the wall for the post as out dog rips them up other wise. The number of times I am waiting for a parcel and then find one of those cards in the box out the front when I have been in doors all day. They cant have knocked at the door as my dog would hear them and he goes mad when someone knocks on the door.

We dont often get door stopped parcels, did have some flowers left on the door step on my birthday which I found when we got home in the evening as we had been out all day (may be it is common practice), only other time was when I ordered some fabric off Ebay to cover my sofa with. It was a big parcel as nearly a whole roll of fabric and it cost a lot of money to buy so I really complained about it after as it could have easily got stolen.

We had some bad snow yesterday, I was at my daughters baby sitting the kids when it came down. OH got into work by leaving early but he hasnt got home this morning, has said he will sleep there today so he is there ready to work this evening then try to get home tomorrow morning. The grandkids are coming here for the day today so at least I wont have to go out in it again.
