My poundland had some quite good sized ones, the jar is in a box. IKEA as well for the kilner jars.

Kind lady on thorntons gave my mum some, but have a look at my blog and others you can make some really simple boxes for sweets, and put them in a freezer bag.

    Hi all :j

Hello Jenny and welcome.........you'll get loads of ideas here:T

Ooops........can't remember now who put the link on for the tree that lights up but thanks a bunch for that...........just the think.........might order that for next year.
Finished off the decorations today with our lad putting the bits up I couldn't reach then he hoovered and mopped the floor (not brilliant but it'll do till my new young cleaner comes on Thursday)

Slight dusting of snow overnight that quickly turned to ice...........yuk:eek: Just a few more bits of shopping need getting before ''the day'' and thats it. What we ain't got we can't eat !

My friend was coming over on Tuesday but whether she'll be able to get out or not I don't know........lives in very rural village so just might have too wait for present swap till new year sometime. At this rate I'll be having two christmases -bonus !!! Nothing from son and his family till new year then he'll get his............oh it's not that bad.........just makes me think -all that panic to get stuff finished when I could have taken my time...............lol

Anyone every used DHL for delivery ? I'm having a right song and dance...........2 parcel ''attempted delivery'' last Wednesday..........took till about 4pm to get through on the phone...lady said delivery would be Thursday -asked for time to be allowed for me to get to the door due to my back, plus OH's hip............''yes'' she said. Thursday, Friday and Saturday came and went.........no parcel no card either  Two e mails and further phone call (no reply from e mails) phone call steered me on to ''push button'' mode........pressed in parcel number, next delivery time Monday. What happens this morning ? Card shoved through the door......what time I've no idea. Tried to re-arrange delivery but this card has different parcel number and it won't recognise it  So, use original parcel number and now next delivery is Tuesday  Can't get through on the phone............uuuggghhhh !!!!:mad::mad:
At this rate the items will be returned to where they came from and I'll have to pay delivery charge all over again !! I'm that miffed:mad:

So what with complaining to them, complaining to hospital (when I can find a Pals for this area......appears not to be one ) my next one will be the council for not gritting where they should !

There rant over..........feel better for that..........:)

Hope you're all ok...............hugs to those who need them (((((:o))))) and take care if you go outside:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

hi all I haven't been around properly for ages although skimming the posts, Mary hope your OH will get better very soon.

I empathise with the parcels, I can't remember if it was DHL, but I remember a similar fiasco involving 2 parcels. I think that that the office you ring isn't always the same one that send the parcels out. Hence the parcel numbers don't always match the info in the office.

You could try looking them up via directory enquiries and see it there is a different phone number so you could go straight to the receptionist.

I've done everything except give out local cards and last minute veg and alcohol shopping, will be sending DS to do those as very slippery and too heavy for me. Luckily weeks back got frozen veg and have some mulled wine in case it get's any worse and he can't go.
