Elysia - Just sent your numbers - apologies for the delay

Nickybo - Ignore me, I have sent you a set of secret santa numbers, as was convinced I hadn't got you your numbers - so apologies in advance.

Mary - at least your have a good start for next yrs lists...... but agree its handy to have a few spare bits...

Susan - I could always loan out Miss Hoodie - so u can see Santa.....

The Panto went well, it was Cinderalla, sounds daft, but was better this year as there was no "tv stars" in it, last yr we had the bloke who played Mathew King in Emerdale. We enjoyed it, we had front row seats, - thou £4.50 for tub of ice-cream and a magumn was a rip off. They must be making a niche profit on snacks, as the queues were choca, but what made me laugh most was the box of maltesers £1 in poundland, £2.50 at the theatre........

Miss Hoodie going again Thursday with the school, and I have a dinner invite for Thurs (no romance!!!), the school xmas dinner - I got a personal invite as a govener.. but I have to bring my own plate and dish!! Then I'm helping!!! with the PTA xmas party for the kids........(I sit in the corner out of the way).

Just got my last couple of bits to get from Argos, keep seeing little stocking fillers for Miss Hoodie.

Taking her late ngt shopping this week, - thou be straight after school, won't be too long as the shopmobility not open.......so Poundland - ur store will be safe!!

Solicitors and doc's 2mor.... then Tuesday be wrapping the rest of the presents......
so far wrapped - 5 gardening hampers, the food hampers, and made some more snowman soup - there come in handy for dentist (seem to have been living there) and the ladies in the office at school - they've been brilliant with everything.
Trying to get Miss Hoodie to cut her list down, she wanted to buy for everyone in the class, - can be done from £1 items - so guess I'll end up giving in!!

    Hope everyone ok.

junior J - how was the panto

have to say a massive thank you to my secret santa - fun evening - got Miss Hoodie trying to show mum how to use the argos website, with me trying to pass instructions how to click and reserve.
The good news the one item that was on the list (not cheated - def a candid camera moment) is on the 3 4 2 offer so apparently I'm having 3 presents. so thank you in advance. xx

Hope your all well and had a nice weekend, I've been so busy but you wouldn't think I had as the house looks no different than it did on Friday LOL :o

Been up for half an hour, just couldn't sleep, must be nervius about today, Thanks for the good luck Elysia.

Well I managed to buy more things yesterday after saying thats it no more;) so got more things to wrap, although I did manage to get rid of 3 bags of pressies this weekend as we saw friends and will not see them again until the new year.

I really am done now, I will not buy anymore, need to buckle down and finish wrapping and have a big clean round this week. Not done the kids gifts for teachers yet, so thats a little job for tonight I think.

Right I'm off to potter about and do a few jobs as I doubt I will get back to sleep now I've had 3 coffee's LOL...:rotfl:

    Morning All

Good news on your dad Foxy.

DH and DD put our decs up yesterday while me and DS were at the Beavers' Christmas party. I also wrote a lot of my Christmas cards so I'll deliver them today hopefully. Still some more wrapping to do and then I think I'm finished although I never found my book with my lists in so I'm going to have to get all the presents down out of the loft either next weekend or early next week and check I haven't missed anyone.

    Have a good day all

We had a lovely weekend. Our early Christmas dinner went really well, the table looked lovely, I'll add a photo of our table decoration later on with the star lights. OH bought me a nice warm jumper to wear as I chucked all my winter stuff out last year as it was all falling apart lol.

Yesterday we took all my family's presents down to my Dad's and left them there till boxing day when we go down. Then had a run up to London to take the MIL home. The top of my wardrobe is looking a lot clearer now.

Foxy - glad your Dad is feeling a bit better and fingers crossed the op goes well and he gets home in time for Christmas. I remember when my son was small he fell down stairs and broke his leg and had to be on traction. He had the accident on the 15th Dec and we all thought he would be in for Christmas but on Christmas Eve they said he could come home but we had to bring a special cot home in an ambulance so that he would keep his legs up over the week he was home then on New Years Eve they came and took him back in again until his leg was healed. We had a right palava though at home with him as he was about 19 months old and didnt want to stay on his back, he used to twist over onto his tummy so his legs were the wrong way round, used to get tied up in knots and quite a few times we had to have a nurse come in and untangle him.

I'm meeting my friend today for a chat up the town so that will be another present out of the way as I only see her during school time (she comes over my way to pick up her Grandson from school). Going to see ExMil tomorrow so will take her present round too.

Catch you all later, Rufus xx

Big hugs to everyone who needs one, and please all be careful in the snow and ice.

Tree is up and decorated, I'm going to put batteries in our LED fairylights and put them on our curtain rails today and then spend the day cleaning - my parents are coming over tonight  only till Wednesday but even so  I shall be wearing my Bridget Jones suck-it-in pants over my normal ones till they leave, my mother has a nasty habit of commenting unfavourably on my post-baby belly and I would rather she didn't. Need to bathe the baby and myself too.

Gifts are already under the tree, cake is marzipanned and prescriptions are sorted - those were the main things on my still to do list. The remaining things are:

    stuff baby's stocking
unpack all her stuff from the packaging
preprogram her My Pal Scout with her name
wrap DH's gift from DD when it arrives
    wrap my gifts to myself
    buy puff pastry, frozen

    Christmas Eve:

weigh out dry ingredients/collect wet ones for Nigella's Welsh Rarebit muffins
put all the baby's older stuff in the storage box
wrap her stuff once it's all ready to use
lay her stuff out on the chair
special Christmas tradition when the baby's asleep

Christmas Eve would have been my grandmother's birthday, so I also plan to have a little glass of brandy (her favourite) and think of her.

    Morning Everyone,

we had a Pj day yesterday and just watched movied after movie, I even switched the phones off, I just wanted to be incommunicado.... family are irritating me at the moment. I feel like I am a bank and a taxi service. I think that because I have worked hard, have a good job and a good income that I "Can Afford" it.

Which is not the case, cause they seem to forget that I'm on my own now, and supporting me and my dd with no help. I love xmas normally but this year I am struggling, and I feel like Im going through the motions rather than actually enjoying it :( Sorry to dump on all of you.

Have a good day, I better get back to work.
