Well kitchen is part way done - in a complete mess and will force me to sort out all the cupboards etc before everything goes back in it! This time next week it will all be over (hopefully)
2 presents ordered for DS & DD arrived this morning, DD is now completely done bar her stocking, DS have to get his main present but hoping to go next week to spend Curries vouchers on a TV for him.
Wrote out my food list for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day last night - have got a few bits already, so ticked them off. Will be buying a few bits every week to take the pain away!
Now looking for a digital photo frame for my parents, wish I'd done the Boots website the other night so I could have got the advantage points.
Ankle is still playing up - so have taken the weight off and am going to try and do more shopping online this afternoon. Got chilli in slow cooker so don't have to worry about dinner tonight.
Motto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j

  • Have just been and bought the cookbook from Ask restuarant for the kids grandad as he loves cooking bargain at £5.00 and it helps great ormond street to which is a bonus in my eyes. So thats another one ticked of the list.

I have got 30 people to buy for that does include my own children:eek: I am going to be reducing this next year trouble is 6 are my god children although this year I have made most of there presents so it has saved me a fortune.

  • Just a bit I never realised just how many I do actually buy for I have been sat here trying to work out who I could miss :( I have got a few of the photo calendars of vista print this year and a photobook also bought some gardening bits in the lakeland sale so to be honest have probably saved quite a bit doing that, but next year bigger cuts are going to be made, and I will also start looking in the January sales as I have been putting some money aside for that.

Sounds like a plan, you looked in charity shops? They usually have some good little gifts in like smellies and candles really cheap. I got 2 gold coloured glass votive holders for 70p each and got a small votive candle for £1.20 from yankee candles. Got 25% off coz it was the scent of the month or something so for my mum i'm gonna wrap the candle up inside the holder.

    7564M.jpg I got this one :)

wow everyone is very organised, im slipping behind :(

Found a baby hedgehog the other day so have spent the past couple of days taking him to the vets and sorting him out getting him to eat and warming him up. He seems to be doing ok now but is far too small to be allowed out now its coming up to winter so 'Bertie' will be at ours now until early April :) I think he is more comfortable than us lol he is in the office/craft room in his new home with a news paper bed, a hot water bottle covered in a towel, another towel to snuggle into, water, shredded newspaper to play with and warmed up cat food lol!!

Anyway can I pick your brains please? Im stuck on what to get my future mother in law... she wouldn't be impressed with smellies, tried sentimental stuff last year and it just got chucked to one side apart from a mom poem that i framed for her which she really liked but I have no idea where it is now lol! And no jewellery so now im stuck.

She likes dogs and reading so Im getting her 'A bad dogs diary' but am stuck for what else. Any ideas?

ETA: Mummyslittleboy good idea about looking in the January sales, you do have a lot to buy for

Willow92 Im not sure what a votive is but it sounds like you got a bargain and a nice present in the process

A votive is usually a smallish candle, a little bigger than a tealight and they're usually in little glass or ceramic holder. Search google and you'll see what I mean :)

Does she like cooking? you could buy a big pot and plant some small herb plants in maybe?

You could do this with small lettuces too, the pretty ones with different coloured leaves. I'll find you a link if you want :)
