  • I have got sinusitus and am suffering badly. Head feels like it going to explode!! Hubby took the kids to his Mums so I could rest after breakfast, felt a bit better this afternoon so made my plastic gold chocolate spoons. Really pleased with them, never done them before!!

My adult ones are dipped in half white and half milk chocolate then dipped in gold glitter sugar and the children ones are dipped in milk chocolate and then rolled in green and red hundreds and thousands.

My two children have persuaded me to have one each tonight in their hot chocolate watching x factor!! I'm such a pushover when I'm ill!!

Back to the duvet and sofa. The whole house stinks of olbas oil apparently but I can't smell anything!!
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

I've just booked four days holiday in Worthing end of March next year:j:rotfl: Travelodge sent e mail with their offers........took ages to book it but I got there in the end.......We normally stay there when we see my son as his flat isn't big enough to put us up.
Then foster daughter no.2 phoned.........last year I did a christmas eve box for her little boy......will I do the same this year............so bit more for me to do................;) But for her I don't mind..............right, off to watch some tele:)

  • Hello

toffeeapple - feel sorry for you, I had sinusitis last year and it was absolutely awful, felt like my head was stuck in a vice and was blowing my nose literally every 5 minutes for a week. The antibiotics soon cleared it up though so hope you feel better soon.

mum2one - typical! So close but not quite close enough... :D

Had a productive shopping day today, managed to get some great Christmas boxes, some kitchen bits and some organza to cover my jars of lemon and lime curd. Also a load of crafty stuff.

Also managed to get the Christmas presents for the dog :T!!! Didn't dare leave it to the last minute, have done that before and there was nothing left! So that's him sorted at least!

    :)

Well done Cookie. I have a recipe book full of dog treats. I was thinking of making Jack (our dog) some of those. :D

Could I please ask you for a copy of the lemon and lime curd? It would be wonderful. I've googled it and there's loads, but I would prefer a tried and tested recipe. Thanks a lot.

    Ohhh, What a shame Mum2one.

    Those jars look lovely :)

I havent posted on this thread for AGES!!!!! :o

I am panicking now that I have got a few pressies still to buy. I am slowly getting there but I am normally more organised than I am. Normally have nearly all bought for by November! arrghhh
I do have less to buy for this year as a few friends have sort of drifted off and so I dont need to buy for them or their kids (thats about 9 presents :)) but I do have five people at work to buy for that I didnt know they bought for each other until last year when I was given presents by everyone :o

Also this year my DS1 is 16 and he has just asked for money. He has started college and isnt working at the moment so rather than me waste money on rubbish presents that will gather dust (he still has unopened boxed items from last xmas!!) I would rather give him the money.

Have just bought a few books from books direct through a thread on the grabbit board - 4 books of peter rabbit for £2, 5 books on Nat Geog and a couple of books for 99p for colleague at work. All delivered free and a free blue bag as a gift :) Another few pressies sorted.

Love the slipper set on the lloyds pharmacy thread as well, £16 reduced to £3. also got a couple of things for the kids too.

have about 6 adult presents (3 men difficult to buy for) still to buy and about a quarter of the kids still to get.

I might look for joke pressies for the guys as I really cant think of anything. One is my boss who has everything.
