Wonderful makes Susan - can I ask you what size cellophane bags you use for the reindeer poo?

I am just about to embark on a major crafting session in the next week or two and am panicking about what size bag is best. I am also after the pretzel bags, but the seller seems to be away until next Monday, so been browsing on the lookout for others and getting into a right pickle as to which I should get. If you can help, it would be great. Perhaps all I need is a break from it all so I can think more clearly, or is there no hope for that? :rotfl:

I now have enough sweets in my wardrobe to feed the local school for a year...but hope to shift the lot at the Christmas Fairs I am going to in December...Here's hoping, or it will be reindeer poo for nibbles for months!! :D

This is my first year crafting mainly with card and paper, usually knit or sew pressies (doing that for family this year too), but thought all these sweets would be quick to make and good to sell at the fairs this year. I will branch out and experiment with more things next year...at least that is the plan!:)

Keiss I bought Pretzel bags in Hobbycraft today because I couldn't wait for the seller to come back. They are online for £3.49 I think, but when I went in the shop they were £2.99. Not too bad. I had to buy the punch and gems too. Thank goodness the ES chocs were buyone get one free. For a few bags of chocolates I've spent about £15.00. Thankgoodness it's only once a year, and at least I won't have to buy the holly punch again.

The cello bags I bought for reindeer poop is the ATC size. (about 10 x 8 cms) they were self seal and I got 50 for something like 99p and 99p p+p.

    HTH.

Kelly - I went on yesterday to check on you. I still do rate even though we don't see you on here as much. You've done brilliantly getting £300. I gave up dooyoo when the rates changed too, but I've got back into it that last few weeks. Don't feel you have to, but it's lovely to see you back. Post when you can.

    Hello!

Susan - well done on your makes - they look fab! :D

Cookiecrumbs - well done on the tickets. I too have been trying since 9am and 9 hours later I finally got some tickets!!!!!!!! I think I have RSI from refreshing my pages and redialling my home phone! I am so happy though!

Whilst sitting on my computer, I decided to do a spreadsheet of all my pressies and how much they cost, how much they should have cost and my saving. I worked out I have spent £170 (ish) and saved £170 (ish)! Very happy bunny all round! :D:D

  • Susan your photos are great! so jealous I dont have time to do the things I need to do. My little boy doesnt give me time in the day and hubby works 12 hour days so very limited with my time :(

I've been looking at these bags that I've got free from book bargains direct, the red luggage set & blue bag. They arent that amazing but thinking I might be able to make them into good gifts for FIL & his wife. They go away a lot so could fill them with travel toiletries? Do you think?
Not really sure how to do it really but thinking I may as well get use from them :D

How much would you pay for a big suede box full of your favourite sweets?

    I paid £3.90 altogether!

I bought 200g mint imperials (£1.30), 100g of chocolate brazil nuts (70p), a camel coloured suede box that's lined with burgundy silky stuff (£1.50) and a metre of matching burgundy ribbon (40p)

Is this cheap or not? I thought it was :)
