I was thinking, that the base of my dads hamper would be a baking tray or something.............. I got him a cookery book, a new apron.......... its going to be food related so wanted the hamper base to be used as well and be part of the gift?? Any other ideas?

Spent money on crafty things yesterday - found a local craft shop to work and was quite restrained considering!! lol bought 8 sheets of felt (2 red, 2 green, 2 white 2 black) ready for the advent calendar I want to make for DD for Chrsitmas 2011, a piece of sparkly card (£1.50!!!!!!) and a scissors that cuts in a wavy line. COuld have bought so much more though. Anyway, in the office alone most of the day, so I might have a little crafty play - the benefits of working in a college during the holidays! lol

Guys RE Toothache and tooth related problems! I had serious pain a couple of weeks ago and I agree Abdonz it os worse than child birth and that went wrong! Anyway I found Ora Gel in Tesco, cheaper in Boots, and its amazing! I cannot stress how good it is! It really numbs wherever you put it! It is 4.99 for a small tube though but I thought it was sooo worth it! Apparently the dentalnurse said they were considering taking it off the market as its so strong! Great Stuff!
Anyway I wasnt gloating yesterday guys about my fab week but had to tell somebody who understood what I was going on about! OH just turns off! Havent done much Christmas stuff but Mums chocolate hamper is nearly done! Been looking at my spreadsheet and I am getting there! Have spent around £260 so far includin all family, DS and OH! Retail is £850!

Legendmum, it is lovely talking about special occasions all year round on here, I know that a lot of people just don't get our excitement.
That gel sounds interesting, I'll note down the name - ta for that. The only remedy I've tried in the past is ice, or a teabag - bit mucky.0 -
