I second everything that Susan says!
Any way im here as I have to tell somebody about the FAB week I am having!!! Today I got a cheque in the post from HM Revenue as I overpaid tax in the year 2008/09 when DS was born! Only just in triple figues but I could have kissed the postie! Also had a voucher from John Frieda for a free colour foam product! Then yesterday I managed to get a maxi dress for 3p on Goddiva thanks to Grabbit, this morning it was Estee Lauder Mascara for 1p and several of my ASOS orders have been dispatched again thanks to Grabbit Board!
I am so happy I am smiling ear to ear and the OH doesnt really understand what I am going on about, except the cheque bit! I actually think I LOVE MSE!!!:iloveyou::heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls

Well done Legendmum, I can feel the excitement reading your post lol xx

Well said Mum2one, lets hope we can carry on as we were as its very off putting having disagreements on here. I have been on here for a few years now and remember how you took over and carried on the challenges and think this thread is brilliant. Its something we all like to do everyday, check and see how everyone else is doing and helping each other out. I hope it doesnt put anyone off and we all stick together xx

Off to see ExMil this morning, she is in an old peoples home and they are having a Halloween do this lunch time, havent the foggiest idea what I am letting my self in for lol, but she didnt want to go down on her own so I offered to keep her company.

Mary - I too can go back to the old days, we never had any money when we were kids, my Mum used to make us things like a new special dress to wear Christmas day and some new pyjamas or night dresses, usually the fabric came from people down the road who were throwing things out and offered them to her to re use as they new she did sewing. Most of our toys were second hand too from neighbours and family with older children. I remember one year I got a lovely record player, it was really nice, red and white case like a mini suitcase. I loved it to bits, only had singles to play on it but still loved it. Remember after about a year the white outside started to peel off and saw under neath it was green and white and had my brothers writing all over it. He is 6 years older than me and I hadnt realised all this time that it was his old record player and my Mum had just covered it with sticky back plastic to make it look new lol.

If my Mum was still around she would have loved this thread to bits as she was full of ideas for recycling old things to make lovely presents.

Anyway, better get dressed and sorted ready to go and face the ghouls lol. Rufus xx

Susan - Wrinklies!!!! You'll be old one day. :rotfl:

DDraig - My OH is our postie, he's started dreading coming home. We are halfway round on his walk, so he tends to leave our post in the boot of the car, as there's too much for him to carry. :D

Legendmum - I'm having a good week too. I used three £5 debenhams vouchers. Mine, OH, and DD1's email address's. Then I only did 1 Asos (not being greedy - did you hear about the one person who used the £10 off voucher 80 times? I also won £20 on the walkers rainy day thing. I bought DD a toy in sainsburys - It must have already been reduced and then half price so it cost £12.50 instead of £35. Woohoo.

All my bits and peices have come today off ebay, so I can start bagging reindeer poop and everything. Mary your magnetic tape came too. Can you pm me your address again, as when I used it before I deleted it afterwards (for security).

Clare you have a new stalker!

JJ - I hope you feel better soon.

Mum2one - enjoy the rest of the week. I hope the weather is kind to you.

Rufus - well done on being so organised.

Sorry to anyone else I've missed. I really must start taking notes. ;)

Thanks Rusty for telling me the ebay seller was still working. I'll order them now while I think of it. ETA. nope listing is still not working! I'll have to wait until they get back.

Well survived the Halloween party lol, they had a raffle and ExMil won two times so she was happy. They have asked me to come to their Christmas dinner now lol. Will have to have a brighter light near my mirror to check the wrinkles lol.

Typical, a parcel came while I was out. Have been online and asked them to redeliver it on Monday. Hoping it is my Half Cost order. Only had email yesterday saying despached so really quick if it is.

I bought some edible glitter for the reindeer food. I chose white hologram, but as it's very fine it doesn't sparkle much. One the other crafting for Christmas thread someone mentioned, as an alternative to flavoured vodka, they added edible glitter to make a vodka snowglobe! I think I'll do that for DD1, I have some vodka the wrinklie (lol) next door gave us last christmas (what he didn't want). It sounds fun!
