What a beautiful photo Sugar spun, it will be lovely on the magnets. As for 10 year old boys, I have bought books for my grandson, he is 11 in November and likes things like soldiers and football. I bought him some books by Chris Ryan who writes the adult SAS books, he also wrote some for children and I got him three off Ebay. They had some football related story books on the Book People site which I was thinking of getting him for Christmas, and they also has some that are like a video game, some were just storys but the sort of thing with beasts etc that they play in the games and some were actual games in the book where you read a bit then it tells you to either go to page so and so or page so and so to read the next bit etc. I think both my Grandsons (other one is 9) would like these kinds of books. I have just contacted the Ebay seller I ordered the fabric cushion panel from for my Dad's cushion as it still hasnt arrived. She says she posted it 1st class last week so should have received it by now. She only has one more left so I have asked her to keep it till the weekend for me in case this one doesnt turn up and she will have to send me the other one.

Still havent got my voucher from Dooyoo, they didnt reply to my message asking them where it is either. Typical as I am waiting to order OH's Xmas present. Hope it doesnt go up in price before I get the voucher.

Nearly finished the dolls last night, ended up leaving two of them for today as I got too tired. Will take a piccy when I have finsihed. Rufus xx

Sugarspun - what a lovely photo of your beastie!! lol :D Hope you don't mind me asking, but what recipe have you used for your frozen cookie dough, and how long do you cook it (and at what temperature) when you want some?? Thanks!

10 Year old boys - have a look at the Usbourne Adventure books.

Cookie - I can't find a link to your blog. My sister in law is gluten intolerant so your cake sounds great for her.

Just spent money on more beads and jewellery bits on ebay. Must. Stop. Buying. And. Do. More. Making!! lol

Yay, I finished the dolls. Think I might make some more with the fabric left over to add to my stash for a stall one day but cant make a start for couple of days as OH is on nights again so cant get up in my craft room.

Heres a pic of two of them with their own dolls lol.

Hi sugarspun my eldest boy has just turned 12 but he has always liked the lego sets you build yourself eg. Police car, diggers, helicoters etc. Also likes the eoin colfer books, they would be good for a 10yr old too. Also does he go camping at all u can pick up some Good accessories cheap off eBay. Your pic is gorgeous too. X

Thanks all - lots to think about there.

Re frozen cookie dough, it's Twinks hobnobs (there's a big thread about it on the OS board which is where I found the recipe, I don't have it on my laptop) and I've not baked any from frozen yet but plan to do the regular baking and just keep an eye on them.

    Hi everyone,

lovely photos Rufus and Sugar Spun

Chillout - thanks for telling me about that shop in the Galleries. I haven't been to Bristol since I was following the Mayday Green Man procession. I love that bookshop right near Woolies which has those packs of blank cards with beautiful photos. In the past I've bought Winter flowers that doubled up as Christmas cards, as well as Winter birthdays.

What I do begrudge about going is the bus fare over £8 now unless I remember and ask for the day pass which is a bit cheaper.
