chillout - i`d like to try the cake but looks like you blog link has been deleted in your signature, mine was thats why you have to go into "user cp" above the posts and put it in there

    Hi there.
Thanks for the advice regarding my blog link. I do try, honest!!!! Duh.
I've put it in my CP as my 'homepage'. But here it is in all it's glory.

    http://theartisan-bijoux.blogspot.com/

    Regarding uploading photos.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/ms-bijoux/5081025913/

I don't know if this is going to work.

Have to say though, I really thought this was so much faffing about., It's probably taken about an hour to get the photo from my phone into my laptop, set up a flicker account, upload the photo to flicker,(avoiding all the adverts, not a very pleasant experience) and then get the link into this message. I'm not sure this is something I'm likely to do very often and I don't think the image of my Tropical Spicys warranted the work.

I wonder if a link to my blog will work better.

Hmm.. have I been wasting my time, or do I file this under an educational experience....

    Elysia have a lovely holiday.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I have to fly now. I just wish I was more efficient.

    Hey Qaphsiel,

I'm not sure how to do links or anything fancy like that but I think what you are looking for is 'a pint of socks'. I just tried searching for that and a few threads came up :)

I'm sure someone clever will be along soon with a link for you though if that doesn't help!

Fantastic thank you Kate and Susan

I have just done a Tescos shop and ordered all the ambient, selection boxes, choccie plus bits for movie hampers, girly hampers, snowman soup and pots of gold :T

Looking forward to putting it altogether next weekend. Is it ok to make the Snowman soup this soon? Wont the marshmallows go wrinkly and dry?

Just wondering if anyone can give me ideas :) Taking part in a secret santa on another forum, and not sure what to get the lady I've got, but you all seem to be amazing at helping with this! :) It needs to be not TOO heavy and not TOO big/bulky because it needs to be posted, and I don't want to have to pay £15 to post it lol

I don't really know her that well, but know she has pet rabbits which she adores.. she really enjoys gardening.. loves chocolate. Apart from the obvious, any nice ideas here? She's had a really tough time lately and I want to give her some really nice things - limit of about £15ish.

I would post a message on that forum asking everyone who's taking part in secret santa to post a message listing a guidline for pressies. e.g. 5 allergies or things to avoid, 5 favourite interests or preferences. Most adored inexpensive Xmas gift received. Most disliked or inappropriate Xmas gift received. Anything you want to say about yourself/lifestyle that would be helpful?

I'm sure everyone involved is thinking either "Hope I don't get a ....." or "What on earth am I going to get ...."

    Good luck

Well what a week so far! I have popped on and off just havent had time to post!

mum2one - lovely buckets! where did you get them?
Sugarspun - what a beautiful little beastie you have!
Rufus - those dolls look lovely, well done you!
finding my feet - welcome! Everyone here is so lovely!
Mary - hope you have a great time away!

Monday DS broke his cot bed by bouncing on it and snapping the slats! He is a big boy! Luckily my step sis has got her son a new cabin bed for his new 'rocket' themed room so I have been donated his old bed! So had to sort the house ready for Mum and Step dads arrival tomorrow with bed! Have cleaned the carpets upstairs with one of thoses machines, yuck there is some horrid stuff lurking beneath our feet! Also have mowed the lawn and dismantled a 3 door wardrobe and took it to the tip, also put wrapped presents in attic and any other stuff I found lying around! Everynight OH didnt know what he was coming home to! Then yesterday I woke up looking like a hamster after a really bad nights pain with wisdom tooth! I have no dentist so emergency dentist this morning has given antibiotics and if pain comes back in the next 6 months then I can have it removed! I have taken so many painkillers the last 2 days that I should rattle when I walk! Fair play to DS he has been pretty good through the whole cleaning and grumpy Mummy!
Really need to knuckle down to doing more Christmas stuff as I have a box full of ingredients and other goodies and a head full of ideas but not alot done! Its a long 1 sorry guys! x

  • Hi everyone

Thought to myself after work - I know, I'll pop into the high street to get some brandy for my christmas cake after work. I've only just got back! It turned into a longer trip than I thought.

Went to Poundland and got big boxes of maltesers, smarties and after eights. Got some silicone moulds for making chocolates and chocolate slabs (inspired by another thread on here) and some shredded glittery silver paper to go in the bottom of my hampers. Then ended up in Primark (don't know how that happened ;)) and bought a load of stuff for my sister's Christmas box - they have some really cute socks and slippers and other bits and pieces that were perfect.

Does anyone know where I can get some cello bags from? I only need about 4 or 5 and everywhere I've seen sells them in bulk. I don't need 100!!!

sugarspun - that pic of your little one is so cute, perfect for Christmas too.

elysia - have a lovely holiday

mary - enjoy your weekend in Scotland, glad to hear some thermals have been packed! It's starting to get freezing down here in London so it's bound to be cold all the way up there!!

Everyone else, hope you're all good. :)

I'm feeling happy I've done my good deed for the day :) I reserved the last Lots O Huggin toy for MILES and a lady on the grabbit asked for the Reservation number. Hopefully it's going to be a gift and not to get a quick buck on ebay.

OH dear, we've gone on to a new page and I can't read back now who wanted a few cello bags. I have some gussetted ones somewhere (that are big enough around the bottom to put a mug in, there's enough room to tie a ribbon at the top (just so you can visualise the size). If I can find them this weekend you are most welcome to them.

Mary I had problem as the poster above (The one I can't remember LOL) I had to buy loads of cello cones and I have a few spare. How many do you need? I think I still have your address. I could put them in the post too if you would like them. They are clear with white flowers and stars at the top where you tie the ribbon.

ETA: just remembered, sorry I forgot to say Legendmum - You've had a tough week. I hope you feel better soon. There's nothing worse then headache or toothache!!!
