I've been out and picked up the new Boots book, haven't had chance to go through it yet as been catching up on this thread (far more important!) I also had to pick up the Boots offer of the week - the front cover set at half price £16. I had one of these sets bought for me a couple of years ago and its wicked, still using it now - it has a liquid eyeliner called shadowline, which is clear and you choose the eyeshadow shade you want and dip the brush into it and it goes on like liner (this alone is £6 for a replacement) so I think all in I got a bargain - plus OH will be buying it for me for my Christmas box so it will actually cost me nothing!
I also bought a square cake tin to make the Baileys and white chocolate fudge that someone was raving about in an earlier post - just need to get some baileys now - any idea where is cheapest currently, I must be careful I don't drink too much whilst making it LOL!!!

Hmm, will bear that in mind, may just buy the 30cl bottle and use that - I also make shortbread which went down a treat last year. Planning on a nice afternoon of it on Saturday!

Just a quickie! I've had a day and a half today. Went to a neighbours funeral. I said to one of the other neighbours Son, How's your Mum? Well, she only died on Sunday and no-one had told me. Imagine my horror!!!

Got to go out and deliver my Avon again tonight, so I won't be on. Have a nice evening everyone!

Thanks Elysia and Findingmyfeet for the ideas of what to get Grandsons, sounds good to me, have written them in my note book so I dont forget next time I go up the town.

Stayed in today watching the miners being rescued on the tele so got on with my sewing and have finished the 4 big dolls and made a good start on the little ones. Might be able to finish them all off tonight at OH is going to work so will be able to spread my sewing about.

    Evening all,

mummyslittleboy - love your little pots! :T

Welcome findingmyfeet! And lego is always good!

Hope Miss Hoodie gets her cake and juice!

elysia - that's was fab luck with your DD!! Wow! Good predicting! Have fun delivering your Avon!

Was thinking of you Mary - got two hard back ring bound little notebooks - I'm going to use one for keeping track of my Avon orders and one for other crafty things I'm going to sell to friends and colleagues. I just covered the books!!! lol

WHoever it was who mentioned buying for colleagues - we don't, but my hubby does in his work. Could you do a secret santa amongst everyone?

Late night for me tonight. Unlikely to get much done when I'm finally home! Booo. Though I do need to order a few bits off ebay for jewellery making....

  • Hi there findingmyfeet. I'm a newbie too on this thread. A very friendly lot.

I've had a bit of a couple of days. Got back from hydro on Tuesday ready to just chill out. Couldn't understand why I was so cold during the evening. Yesterday, I discovered the carpenters who put in new draft proofing, 2 weeks ago had made a right bodge of it!

Spent this afternoon chiselling off draft proofing and nailing it where it should of been in the first place. I've been furious. This is not what I should be doing the day after hydrotherapy!!!

Anyhow, I've completed 2 things. I've started my blog on Blogger.com and figured out how to get a blog link into my signature. Shame I can't get it in my profile column on the left.

I've also, made my first posting about the cakes I baked today Phew, at least I've done something creative. I'm really proud of that recipe cake that's low sugar, low GI, no fat, gluten free and deliciously yummy. Try the recipe if you like. Now to bed.

    Hello all!

I've been very busy organising my shelves and clearing out the freezer. There are five packs of frozen cookie dough ready for slicing and baking as necessary, all the frozen expressed milk I spent hours pumping has gone weird and metallic-tasting and since Wee Beastie wouldn't have it it's all gone too (:() and we've been eating a lot of Freezer Surprise. I've also printed the Christmas photo of Wee Beastie to go in magnets with Christmas cards and here it is:

    MollyXmasLightsNight640.jpg

And now that's done the last things are to buy Christmas decorations (buying lights tomorrow and other than that waiting for Ikea to have their Christmas stuff out) and make Christmas cake. All the ingredients are here so I shall probably do that this weekend.

What do ten year old boys like?
