    Xmas Saver!
Everyone has been so busy, been and picked up the Boots catalogue, Miss Hoodie has already marked about half off it off as Father Christmas seems to get a lot from Boots, so she'll give him a choice!!

The Argos christmas catalogue has come out, - thou was in store this morning and didn't see one.

Incase anyone is feeling extremly generous - Harrods have put their xmas hampers on sale as from today!!!

Very proud of Miss Hoodie, shes a little star at school, just has her moments at home. Apparently juice and cakes were postponed - not good. Bless her shes got her school photo 2mor, so its double check tidy hair!!

Promised her at the weekend she can help me make some flavoured coffees and the cherries and raspberries mix. x

All I used was papers to cover Jotters, card, and glitter, double sided tape oh and jotters!!

Covered front cover in papers using double sided tape to stick, then added the black card to put the name on, I used my big shot to cut out the letters for the name in white card stuck them on to the black card then went over the lettering with glitter glue.

I have done some slightly different will put the pics of the others on my homepage this afternoon for you to see.
They are really easy I have done some for DD1's school teachers for christmas.

Finished another doll off last night, not much to do on the other two, and have cut out the smaller ones ready to sew.

Went to the town in the afternoon with OH and we thought of doing our two eldest grandsons a hamper with toiletries in as both of them like looking smart and they are always doing their hair with gel etc. Had a look in Savers to see if we could get a few bits to start us off and found a pack of two boys combs for 59p, two pots of wet look gel for 39p each and a body spray each for 59p each. Have thought of getting some shower gel and may be a wash bag each but cant think of what else to put in unless we get some socks or something to fill it out a bit. The boys are only 9 and 10 (nearly 11) so cant get shaving stuff etc. Will be doing a basket for youngest daughter too with the bits of make up I have ordered from Boots and some hairspray and mousse and stuff, may be some hair clips and slides, bobble, that kind of thing.

  • I love this website and have just received my first order. I found these little wire gold baskets which are gorgeous. down to £1.50. You can fill them up further and cellaphane them to make them look very expensive.

These advent calendar fillers are also brilliant, I just got mine and they are so cute £3.50 for 24 items.

Lastly I ordered some of these nativity chocolates to hang on the tree for 30p each, so sweet.

    http://www.chocolate-parties.com/-Nativity_Tree_Hanger-1627-184.html

I thought I'd just share the website as there are a lot of little gold chocolates for 20/30p for pots of gold and some gorgeous 'christmassy' chocs for hampers.

    Hope it can help someone?

I do have a code for free delivery over £40 (!!) if anyone gets very tempted!!!
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

They sound nice Rufus. A great idea! What about a face cloth and a small handtowel, or a new toothbrush each. Woohoo you must be nearly finished now.

What a shame Miss Hoodie missed her cake and juice. DD came out of school today saying she'd been sent to the Headmasters office. It turned out her work was so good she had to show him. Little Neice (5 tomorrow) came home chuffed to bits - she had a reading book with words in (the first few are only pictures). Bless her cotton socks.

I hope you are feeling better after your hydrotherapy Chillout.

Mummyslittleboy - You've done a brilliant job with those notepads and decorated buckets - they'll look fab on the tree!

Susan - I would have said £2.99 plus p+p. You have to think about listing fees, post and packing, paypal fees and time and materials. Well done on being offered the job in the cakeshop. They were beutiful - can you give us the recipes for the toppings please?

I've just found a lovely little christmas cookbook I bought DD last christmas. I'll type out some of the recipes and put them on here later - there's a lovely one for snowball truffles. :)

  • Hi findingmyfeet

Welcome... just a quick thought before I get on with my day..

Why not get all the boys lego? You could get the duplo lego for the 3 year old and the proper lego for the older ones.

I have nephews of 7 and 8 (and a son) and I just got them toy story 3 lego from Boots. Also you can get all three on the 3 for 2 at Boots so you save yourself the price of one present!!
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

Hiya finingmyfeet - Join in, you are most welcome.

I second what Toffee Apple has said. Lego is really big at the moment, I'm sure they'll love them. :)

Toffee Apple - I'm not taking a proper look at that site - £40????? I'd spend double! I know I would - I had a quick peep. :rotfl:

I just received my first email off Organised Christmas today. Christmas is coming! :D

I remembered too - DD1 has changed her Christmas list - and everything she's asked for, I've bought already!!! I know her so well, I knew she would. :j:j:j I can't stop smiling whenever she mentions something. She's only allowed to put 5 things on her list - and I've got them. WOW. I'll get her to write her Santa letter properly tonight so I can say she can't change her mind again. ;)
