    Hello all :j

    mum2one - well done :T

elysia..............decorating ? Forecast is hot-hot-hot for next week so get it done before then otherwise you'll melt................lol

susan - have a look on the board for UK Holidays -might be something there about Sun Holidays......think I've seen something there before.

Well, not much done today but did get three handbag charms with ribbons finished off......put buttons on the bottom of some of the ribbons but not all of them............even OH likes them...........lol
Made a start sorting out my craft stuff but nowhere near organised............:( I already occupy one drawer for card making stuff..........second drawer is full of medication we both have.......now if I can get OH to find another home for that I could have the whole two drawers just for me...............brilliant !:rotfl:
Big 'If' though............OH not one for moving things around and always moans if I do...........lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Susan, we have a priority code that may or may not be going spare. It depends when OH can get time off work - he is alloted his dates, he can't choose and he hasn't been given his Autumn/Winter holidays yet. If we can't go I'll pm it you, but don't get your hopes up just in case. I noticed you posted on the Sun Holiday thread, so you may be lucky and get one there.

Living room almost finished, have two rolls of paper over, I always buy more 'just in case'. Trouble is - I didn't buy enough border! If it was a short bit I would have taken a 'sample' but it's quite a big bit. ;)

Next VIP sale was useless - I had 11 small things (gifts and clothes) on my list but by the time of my slot everything on it had sold out. Looking around the site afterwards I saw a storage bed for less than half price so bought that instead. :rotfl:

    Congratulations Mum2one -that's a great achievement!!

I keep meaning to join in, and I'll probably be more of a lurker than major poster, but I am both a Christmas nut, and a lover of crafting. At the moment, I have a large stash of knitting wool and fabrics to use up, with loads of ideas but no time and energy to do them. And I have plans to make at least half my Christmas cards this year - I have the cards and some decorative bits, but again I need time. I love watching create and craft for cards ideas though (I will be doing mainly plain enough ones, but I may have a few embellishments!!).

I am determined that I will take at least a few extra days off on summer hols, to get started when DD is still in creche.

Hi winged one, love the name, good luck with the ideas for the knitting and fabric, def grab 5mins to yourself when dd in the creche.

You have a lovely day Rufus - put your feet up for a change. Have fun at the concert tonight.

JLS are playing Warwick Castle tonight (not far away) - Trouble is it'll be all screaming girls  (unlike Will Youngs I expect). I never could understand that - I must have been old before my time.

Have a nice day everyone else too.

I'm wallpapering the living room today. Kitchen, hall, stairs and landing have been done in the past month. Just the bedrooms to do next.

R u sure you don't want a job, decorateing esp wallpaper is a dirty word in this house......... DIY is another dirty word!!

Wish I could clear 5K of debt - how on earth did you manage this so quickly please?

As for me, have sorted out most of mum's chrissie pressie by searching for another couple of denby pieces on Debenhams Blue Cross Sale extra discount and free del

It's her ruby wedding anniversary later this year (dad passed away 4yrs ago) We are going away then as its my birthday on the same day.

So far I have bought her a Ruby Wedding clematis and rose which she has in her garden and I gave them early so she could enjoy them this year
I would like to buy a gorgeous vase or photo frame but not in cranberry or red. Something classic and stylish would be ideal

I had a look at the Waterford Crystal in Debenhams and yes it is lovely but v.expensive - trying to work out how to get the price of this down or work out something else instead

I actually got a good time slot on the next VIP sale for a change and managed to get ds school shoes, socks and shirts for next term. I also got ds sandals for next year, pyjamas for Christmas and am still intending on going to the shop on Sat for more bargains!!!

Have been working far too much just recently and haven't managed to get on MSE as much as I would like.
OH and I have redecorated DS bedroom over the last weekend, we totally gutted it and sorted out all his toys etc. I have listed some on ebay, and there are other brand new toys still in their packaging that I will be able to recycle for presents this year.
I also found two packets of Christmas cards which will be used for his class so doing okay on the shopping front too!

I'm lucky as the house is owned, by my parents, stuck at home, and contribute a bit towards living costs, my social life is..very poor, then I'd rather have a holiday, so 75% of my money is mine, so been paying a wack out and living on the bare minimum.
