Well done on working through the challenges Elyphant - I'm sure you can count the wardrobe as your stash area :D

CDsmiler - I hope that Bethan let you have a good night's rest - thinking of you.

Not done much today as I have been volunteering at DD2 playgroup - may have an interview there next week for a relief worker position (so I will get paid for covering sickness and holidays) - will keep you posted - would be nice for a few extra pennies here and there.

    Hope everybody is well
    Take care

Thats absolutely brilliant, your half way there volunterring, keep fingers crossed. xx

Bless her, she had another day at her friends Wed, and apparently even rode her bike, she didn't do as much of her posh voice....

We went to Rhyl yesterday, had a brilliant day, dd and I got our haircuts, £8 for the both of us, we pay £24 here!!

Miss Hoodie wanted to go up the skytower, so I very nicely offered to sit on the wall with Bailey, so dad took her up, I thought that were stuck at the top, becoz it use to go round, now u walk round.

Bailey loved it, he got spolit, so funny, we stopped at Tesco at Mould for petrol, so that was ah I need the loo, then dad said thats a good idea, so had to wake Miss Hoodie up, bless her, then on way back we were stopping at McDonalds, she'd fallen asleep!!

This is true Miss Hoodie, her tooth been lose so shes been playing with it all day, came out this afternoon, shes running round shouting mum I'm bleeding... look its all over the tissue... sods law I was on loud speaker to tax credits, the poor bloke thought she'd cut her arm off!!

The tooth.......she writes a note to the tooth fairy saying thank you for your letter last time (we'd left the tooth 2 ngts forgot the 1st ngt, the toothfairy left sorry I was really busy collecting all these teeth etc etc.. and left her £1), she wrote a note saying you only left me £1 last time, going rate is £2.00 could I have my extra £1 from last time!! Got to her 10/10

Good news all her spots have disappeared, we're just waiting for the report back from the gp and cancellation from hol company, so can send off that.

She's asked can she help with Aprils challenge.... I said we're see, but I've got lots of ideas!!! Don't worry ladies your be safe.... sounds like everyones having good tidy outs.
    xx

A massive thank you to everyone who helped with the ideas for the crafting at school.

From when they go back to May, I'm doubling up with my friend who does the sewing club, its the KS1 group, shes got 6 kids - practice on them, then the plan is after half term to July, do my own group (HELP).

Ordered some bits and pieces from ebay and halfcost, got some stuff from home bargains, spent £50.00 (but that be claimed back charge them £1.00 per week, and the school said they'd contribute towards it).

    Crafting
    Hands poem (massive thank you)

    The tissue picture (thank you)

    Peg (borrowed from Mary's idea)

Mini notebook (borrowed from Mary - haven't got the patience to put a keyring so looking at plan B)

Mini Memo box - include matching notepad, pencil, pen

Memo box (cereal size), either be some paper and envelopes in it, or put Bills in jewels as they are perfect for the bill size envelope

    Photoframe from lolly sticks

    Pipe cleaners round pencils -

Swanky notes (were from Homebargains) each pack has 4 sizes, but theres enough stickies so can 8 sets from them, cover some cardboard with wrapping paper, and stick these on add pen tied on

Beer mats - cover them, and add mini calender, may put magnets onto the back

Christmas star - cut 2 star shapes out of card, decorate both sides, put cut in one join together

Star photoframe - made from cardboard

Bookmarks - use felt (got to get), then stick on small felt shapes

Christmas box - put a small gift in (be the surprise), then with sponge shapes get them to print xmas shapes on them

the glitter picture - love doing these with dd, A4paper folded in half, use glitter glue one side, fold in half, (educational mirror image) then use that for collage print.

The age group be working with is 4 to 7, so don't want anything to difficult, but something that they can take home, and there get their moneys worth. Ideally in September run an extra class which would be free so that they do some items for the xmas fayre and have their own table, (know be an adult running it, but may be way of getting some pennies for the school).

If anyone can think of anything else I can add that be brilliant.

Bit scared, but exicted, all I seem to be doing is OU work, good outlet.x

My apologies to everyone, I've just read two pages of posts, and noticed someone had nicked the thanks button! Computer must have logged me out! It's late now (just catching up) so I'll just do one big thankyou to everyone.

Hi all. I hope you are all ok - especially you Mary! Could you not just wear the tracksuit bottoms in the house? They really are comfy, great for lounging around in.

Did you win anything with your free bet Susan?

Well done everyone who's managed to complete the mini garden challenge! You're all brilliant.

Was it CDSMiler who asked about the quality of the free photobooks? All I can suggest, is just try it. You've nothing to lose. :D

Totally forgot my Nephews birthday on the 14th! Oops. just had to pop a cheque in a card and post it, but OH off work this week and we have been out everyday, so I got sidetracked. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! LOL Better late than never! ;)

Mum2one - I'm glad Miss Hoodie is recovering well. Hopefully she won't have any scars.

I think that's about it. Take care everyone, have a lovely weekend (just incase I'm not around tomorrow to say it) xxx

    Hi all

Elysia, you're not the only one on here that forgets birthdays and other occasions. Join the club :)

Recipe challenge - I've got a brilliant book -Cherry Cake and Ginger Beer by Jane Brocket which has recipes from those nostalgic children's stories such as Famous Five, Secret Seven Chalet stories etc etc. There are excerpts from the stories, original line drawings as well as the recipes for midnight feasts, campfire suppers, puddings, breakfasts, lunch and dinner, drinks and sweets - yummy! So plan to try a few out next week.

    Mum2One - love the family updates. .

Brilliant ideas for your craft club. Additional one - apart from wrapping paper etc, a different covering for the notebooks, cereal boxes etc could be to collage it from magazine pics - flowers for women, cars for men// Friendship bracelets//making beads from magazine pages.

I hope no-one's holiday plans are disrupted by the volcano this week.

Yep I'm one of those lovely casulaties from the Iceland volcano..... was due to fly to cuba at 9.50am this morning, the last news I had from travel agent was at 5.30pm last night, they'd had a memo saying anyone travelling before 10am don't go to the airport, the carrier has all the details and will notify when the flight is due to go....... Now then ban is till at least 1am 2mor, but as its over 12 hours get the choice to cancel or swop to another date...... sods law, made worse by the fatc we were due to go to Tunisia for Easter, until dd caught chicken pox..... xx
