I received my free photobook from Hotprints today, it's absolutely excellent! I'm so pleased with it
. It's almost A4 sized and the photos have printed really well.
I used photos of my husband and son together as it's going to be a Father's day present.
It's not a one-time-only freebie either, you can get one free photobook every month. Next month I'm going to order one for my Mother-in-law as I know she'd love one of my son.
Did anyone else order one?
Oh that's good to hear NickyBo. Will consider doing one as a trial!! How much are they if you want more than one per month?? elysia - you're right, I'll try it! lol
JaneBo - good luck with the job!
mum2one - love Miss Hoodie's letter to the tooth fairy!! I read it out to my hubby!! But I cannot BELIEVE your luck with holidays.....
Angela - that recipe book sounds fab!!
Thanks for the hugs and kind thoughts ladies. Had a really bad night Wednesday evening - poor Bethan kept waking (due to wind I think) and while wasn't in any distress she just couldn't get herself back to sleep. Our fault, she's always gone to sleep at night while feeding from me, so we're looking at putting some sort of system in place from next weekend so she can learn to self settle. Anyway, Wednesday night she had me up at least 6 times - granted most times I was back in bed 12/15 minutes later, but still!! So Thursday I was whacked. She made it up to me last night though - woke up every 3 hours (which is normal) for a decent feed, went back to sleep really easily, and slept til 9am! I was awake from 8.30am so managed to go to the loo, grab the Radio Times and watch a bit of morning TV while catching up on my mag, in bed. Hubby was already on his way to work, so was bliss. lol
Also had my hair cut today - damn it needed it! Hadn't had it done since September, and since Bethan being born it's been falling out loads. Feel much better!!
Been watching a bit of 'guilty pleasure' TV this week - Project Runway on Sky 1 (3.30pm). Very American, quite camp, but for someone who's NEVER been interested in making clothes, I've been feeling quite inspired!! Got no time to do anything about it, but feeling a bit more inclinded to getting my cross stictch back out again. Not the same, but close. lol
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Oh no mum2one, you have the worst luck! How on earth do you afford all these holidays? lol! Hope it gets sorted for you :O) xx
Sounds really awful, but compensation from accidents, not really accident prone, but Tunisa, was from car accident with dad, it caused a bit of friction as his carins company and the other drivers decided they'd split the bill, if I didn't accept have to go up against dad in court, so took the money and run!!
The Cuba - that was courtesy of slipping on a bag of sugar in a supermarket, made worse by the cashier saying I saw it but I couldn't be bothered to get it cleaned up!!
The best is my Aunt she fell on a grape in another supermarket, shes sueing them, done some damage to her spine, I had to draw the diagrams,it was so funny, a little stick person pushing a trolley!!
Don't recommend injurying urself for a holiday!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Ah no, I don't think I will do that! I've got some compensation from being assaulted yearsss ago (in year 8 at school so 7 years ago i think) don't know how much I got cos my mum never told me LOL, but can't get it till i'm 21, but think i'm gonna save it for deposit on a house, knowing me I wont and second i'm 21 i'll book a holiday lol! I'm so accident prone but all my injurys are my fault. I'm so annoyed too, really want to sue a well known holiday company that does holidays to the baleric(sp?!) islands and Bulgaria (beings with a B... LOL) but think I have left it too late. Went June 2008, and when we got there hotel was nothing like the pictures, the pictures were of a hotel 10m away, there was no pool despite them saying there was, and the hotel, i'm not joking, I wouldn't put a dog in there, there was mould growing in the fridge, tv had no plug, holes in the walls, filthy etc, but the main thing is, that the bathroom was a wet room, and the door didn't reach the floor and drain was blocked, water flooded out into bedroom, and on first night I got in shower, came out, slipped on the water, sprained my ankle, and seriously burned my finger on my straightners that were heating up! soooo wish I had done it at the time, but never got around to it! xx'Patience is a virtue till we die. Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0

Morning everyone
Hoping weather will hold out today and we can have our first BBQ of the year in our nicely cleaned up garden thanks to the challenge.
Have just ordered some more bits off Vistaprint for presents, got daughter a notebook with her name on, son a Tshirt with his name and football team, a stamp saying hand made for my sister and a pen and notebook with name on for my ExMil. Total came to just over £8 for the lot so happy with that. Daughter now has plenty for her birthday and son has plenty for his birhtday. The stamp will go in the box of craft stuff I am doing for sister for Xmas and the pen and paper will be for Xmas present as well, hadnt got anything thought of for her so will put some stamps with it and thats her done, maybe some plain envelopes and plain note pad, do it up in nice box.
Hope you all have a good weekend and hope the weather is nice for you xx0 -

Hi Clare,
I think it's about $7 for the photobook if you want to buy extra. I don't know how much that is in £s. I'm not sure why the price is in $ as I'm sure it's a UK based company. With my free photobook I also got a voucher code for another free book! You can only use the code once, but it means I'm getting 2 free books this monthI made one of my son as a birthday present to DH's mum.
I re-discovered my cross stitching recently too. I used to do loads of it before I had my boy but then I was just too busy or too tired. I was tidying and found a big art deco lady I had started so I am now continuing that most evenings. It's the first big piece I'm stitching for myself, I just fell in love with the design. It will probably take me at least another year to complete though!Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Hello all :j
Well just when I thought some stuff would be cleared out (stuff from garage OH sorted the other day) it's still there  Everyone elses charity bag got collected except ours.................may be the bin bag holding the 'extra' we were giving didn't help but youd have thought they'd have taken it. It wasn't rubbish,,,,,,,it was all good stuff.............oh well, charity shops will have a field day with it instead.
Joy of Joys we have heat !!! One convector heater.......amazing the difference it makes.:)
Not done much today except another 2 pages to scrapbook number 2 so not totally wasted my time...........oh and a load of washing all done, now sorted folded and put away.:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

thats brilliant, def add them to my xmas lists xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
hi guys been Awol for a bit but determined to do these challanges lol been checking in and out but not had a chance to post
Santas Challenge - March.
ME EVENT
managed to have a few me hours in nice bath with oils n smelly things AND managed to get a massage this month so * happy dancing *
COOKING
been cooking new recipes from the cyber cook book that i got and some recipies from OLd style thread asnd been adding family recipies onto the cook book on the computer
EASTER
did my oastera celebrations before mum had a small family party on easter saterday and im planning BBq for beltane / mayday thats next month tho lol
CARDS
Don't panic its not Christmas cards yet! but check your bday cards, and whether you need to craft any (or like me buy in advance) espically if you need a semi-personal like Aunty, saves mad rush to local shop and pay £2 when you could have paid £1.00 (if that was 10 cards over the yr difference £10 overspent). still to do
HOUSEHOLD KIT
The thought come to me earlier, set up a household kit, scissors, pencil, tape, candles, matches, torch, notepad, pen, string, - if we had a poweer cut, everything is to hand/ still to do
KIDS BEDROOMS
Hopefully there be tidy from the half term clean up, but see if theres anything that they don't need, carboot it, ebay it. will be finishing 2day when the teen at her uncles
CAR-BOOT
Their starting to spurt up, though I know our school were starting after Easter, Could be the time to consider a car-boot, in our area dd's school has the best reputation for carboots, and even thou it says 8am start, theres people there at 5am!
Very MSE way, instead of parking normally and have the boot up, park sideways, that way you can get 2 paste boards up, so you could share a pitch with a friend and go 50/50 with the cost,
MEDICATION
I appriciate that this may only apply to a couple of us (me included),our house we have 3 old icecream boxes, (me, dad and mum, although we have a box each, mum or I do them. When mum was poorly last week dad had no idea what tabs he should of been on, so I'm chaseing labels to see what he needed.) done
Print off a list and tape it to the inside lid of the container, whether there morning, afternoon, night tablets, so if any reason someone got your tablets - you know you'd be getting the right ones.
It wouldn't be a proper challenge without a small bit of cleaning!!
Do you have an understairs cupboard, an airing cupboard, draws under the bed...... or your stash area, - when was the last time they were sorted...... this is the month to empty ans sort. still to do but the teenager at school from tues so i can get back to work
Have tried to go gentle with it being Easter, and we've had some hard challenges last couple of months, these (bar car boot sales) or 5 to 10 mins job. Hooefully theres a bit for everyonefinances disaster but baby-stepping back to security:
2024 let's do this !!0 -
Hello all :j
Reading through all those challenges again I feel really guilty................not done them................apart from the birthday and christmas cards...........well up to date on them :T (pats self on back )
Oh, and being a bit on the lazy side.............always manage to get a bit of 'me' time.................:o
So, thats two done......................lol:rotfl:
Today I was going to do a lot in the garden but its a bit too cold for me..............sun keeps disappearing and thats when it starts to get really cold............:(
So, I've done another page to scrapbook..........this time I've added an extra one to scrapbook no.one..............at this rate I'm going to confuse myself as to what I'm doing.....................lol
Googled for plastic cookware for grandson......cheapest mixing bowls I can get seem to be Wilkos.
rufus - hope its nice enough for your barbecue............good luck.............:T if it was me I'd need a coat on todayI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
