I'm not really getting fed up with it, just not got a lot to tell you about lol. All my birthday gifts are sorted so just Christmas to do and some of them sorted anyway.
I am still trying to make some bits for a stall later in the year but my sewing machine is playing up once again. Emailled the firm who mended it and they have said I can either take it up to them so they can have a look while I am there or if I want I can PX it for a new one. I am really undecided what to do. If this machine worked properly I would love it as it does everything I want a machine to do plus its not a cheap one, its more middle range and I wouldnt be able to afford another middle range one, would have to buy a cheaper one.
I guess it would be better to get it fixed if they can fix it but I am getting fed up with them keep saying its the way I am threading it when I know it isnt.
Rant over lol. Off to cook dinner xx0 -

Been busy here too, breathing a sign of relief now most of the occassions for this year are out the way, only fathers day left the Xmas:j:j and because of this thread I'm well infront, I'm no where near payout on anything and I'm lucky if I get a look in on the computer with the kids being off. DS1 is out with his dad filming and DS2 is watching a film, I really should be putting the rest of my shopping aways and tidying up but I'm on here:o

Hello all :j
elysia - I've been busy sorting out scrapbook stuff and today OH was in the garden sorting stuff out and I went out to make sure he didn't pull anything up he shouldn't............was lovely and warm -well for a little while.
Could do with a boost myself to kick me into gear.......get me away from scrapbooking on to something else for a bit;)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Spring is in the air and summer is around the corner, and we have a few things to look forward too .......
Long hot summer Days (Well we can live in hope)
Relaxing Days in the Garden/ yard with a glass of wine or two:D
The World Cup (:eek::eek::eek:) and The Kids off School.
So what are we waiting for, is your outdoor space another room to your house or just a blank canvas??? waiting to be transformed with all are thrifty gifty crafty ideas????
What can be recycled and reused in your outdoor space, have you started planting? or thinking about growing veg???
What are your plans for the world cup? will you be having friends round? we are so where will us women sit while our OH/ Hubbies watch the footy?
So the Mini Challenge (Like mum2one says Pick n Mix Girls) for Spring
Tidy and clean your outdoor space (so you dont have to on the first hot day of the year)
I know its not that warm yet, but just think if you get it done know, when that summer creeps up and suprises us we dont have to waste time clearing rubbish, cleaning tables and chairs and BBQs it will all be done.
See what you have for your outdoor space and make a list of anything you need
Do you need some new pots, compost, Candles etc.... All the shops are putting the garden stuff out now and lots of good bargins to be had
Sort Through the kids toys
Job for the kids here, give em a bowl of soapy water, let them scrub them down, throw any away that are broken and re-home any that are to small or grown out off
Make party plans/ dates with friends for the World Cup
Make your plans now, its not long now, take it in turns with friends, then your not left bored while OH/ Hubbys watching footy, don't forget your party supplies, if you plan now you can buy a few bits a week so you wont feel the pinch, The pound shops have lots of England things in now too, flags, bunting, paper plates etc... all to make a really good world cup party
List and start stocking up on summer essentials
Paper Plates, cups, ice cube bags, bbq coals, fire lighters, skewers.... you know the things you need that when we have a good day the shops are shut or you only have the garage down the road that charge you 3x the normal price
Now for the fun bits
Make something thrify for your outdoor space
Lots of things can be recycled in your garden and made into features, heres a few ideasThe good old tin can for tea lights
http://familycrafts.about.com/od/tincancrafts/a/tincanluminary.htmFairy Light Bottle Covers
http://familycrafts.about.com/od/gardendecor/ss/Patio_Light_Cover_Craft.htm
And Don't forget to share your ideas..... everyone thinks of something different
Plant your seeds/ start a veg patch or pots
There are many things that plants can be planted into, Why not go to a charity shop, or boot sale and see what you can find! (I would say raid your kitchen cupboards but we already cleared them out;)) You can plant a pair of cacti in a pair of cowboy boots. Why not plat a snapdragon in a tea cup? You can use vases, pots and pans, tires, helmets, and so many other things as planters. You may not know what item can double as a perfect garden planter until you go out and find it.
So lets see who can find the most unusual Plant pot???
Heres looking forward to a LONGGGGGGGGGGG HOT Organised Summer!!!

sarah - thats a different kind of challenge -nice one :T
I'll ignore the bits that sound like 'work' (for now anyway)..........odd planters............well not that odd maybe..........
Did use an old work boot of OH's but afraid thats rotted away now.............did look nice though (rifling through his old boots.............:rotfl:)
Wheelbarrow
Old Tin Bath
Old sink (ummmmmm.....three actually.....:rotfl:)
chimney pots
Old wrought iron fire grate
Watering can
Old mangle all painted up has hanging basket hanging from it in the summer
Think thats about it.................we grow out veg in pots -OH has a nice little area for that and I've got fairies at the bottom of the garden.......yes I have...............:rotfl: I know............I've seen them and there's a little sign that says 'sshhhh.........fairies sleeping'..........oh eck now I do sound completely batty...........:rotfl:
They're ornamental fairies ......................lol
Right at the bottom is a wild life pond and all sorts of stuff that sort of takes care of itself............nice peaceful place to sit on a hot night...............(should we get one)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

That does sound like a joke Elysia, still perhaps it's true. I'd probably believe anything. I thought things like cucumber were negative calories.
Hate to disappoint you, but no food has negative calories - well, maybe water. They're myths that foods like celery use up more calories eating them than they have in them, unfortunately.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

How about starting making your Christmas cards!!!
Do you sew at all? If so, look here https://www.morsbags. com - they make bags out of recycled sheets, duvet covers, curtains etc. and give them away to people to use instead of accepting plastic carrier bags in shops. It gets quite addictive once you've made one...
