Mum2one - just popping on to say sorry about your DD and the hol, belated Happy Birthday and.................. did you know that OFSTED allow each child to have 10 days unauthorised leave each school year [hols count as unauthorised leave] so if you want 8 days then regardless of what the school say you are able to take them and not get into trouble. Schools set there own limits so that parents don't abuse the system and have their kiddies off too much and they also ask that you don't take kiddies out of school during May when its SATS time - different areas vary slightly with which week the Sats are in but if I remember rightly its at the end of May but I may be completely wong with that one

Mum2One,
LOL, which of you came up with that wicked idea?. Your poor mum - and dad as he got told off. I can just imagine the scene in your house, like out of Candid Camera!
I forgot all about April Fools - so much so that I watched something on tv and really believed it and was about to email a friend about it too because it related to something we'd discussed.
e.g. we were talking about New Age authors who talked about dragons and unicorns.
So you can imagine how surprised I was, switched on the tv in the middle of a documentary to see scientists doing some unique kind of work with animals and I felt uneasy thinking they were cloning something, and then discover it was a unicorn. I was amazed, and thought as soon as this ends I'll email my friend.
Then there was a studio discussion and the horn was produced with velcro at the back, I still didn't realise it was a joke. I thought that they only had that in the studio as a joke, and the unicorn was real! LOL
It wasn't until the 'scientist' started talking about other April Fool jokes that the penny dropped and I realised I'd been fooled.0 -

Anglea - I heard something on the radio today, that if it wasn't the 2nd, I would have sworn it was a practical joke.
Apparently, Woolies are selling negative calorie cola bottle sweets (they burn more calories while you are digesting them, than they contain) ie -the more you eat - the more weight you lose. :j
I've had a look on the site and I can't find them.:(:(. Maybe they sold out already.:rotfl:

That does sound like a joke Elysia, still perhaps it's true. I'd probably believe anything. I thought things like cucumber were negative calories.0

Yes, and celery, but I'd rather eat sweets!I :heartpuls M.S.E.

If I get the holiday booked, were going.....
She's got her Sats 10th to 14th May
The other thing I have to work round OU, got an exam mid June, in May start another 2 courses (I'm a gluten for punishment!!). After a 3hr exam on business environments I will need a holiday. Atparents evening shes in top of all groups, got attendance 93%, shes prone to picking up bugs, but unless shes a dieing duck she goes to school!!
Getting slowly sorted with the claim form, I can't actually put it in till I get a no show from the holiday company, but have got the bit ready for the doctor, drop that off Tuesday, so that should b a week or so tie in nicely.
Feels weird I actually thought Easter Friday was Saturday, I have had a very productive day, I (mum helped, Miss Hoodie hindered 50/50 basis), started at 1pm, gave up at 7, I've done built in cupboard, bedside draws,
2 draws in bed, wardrobe, side of it, just got 5 mini shelves in wardrobe to do and top of wardrobe.
she is a hoarder, and hides money in all her purses, I found £15 between all her purses, so taken the money out put it in my room.
Some of her hoards-
10 purses
12 handbags
5 shopping bags
40 alice bands
40 hair clips
15 pencil cases
lost count at 40 pencils
colouring pencils
Bag full of notebooks
Make up - narrowed it down to one box full
20 shower gels/ scrubs / deordrants.....
Bearing in mind shes in the box rm, I got black bag full junk and clothes that didn't fit, a carrier bag of clothes for her friend, her mum laughs she says she doesn't need to go shopping the Miss Hoodie stores!!
Plus some some stuff for carboot sale when the weather improves!!
On a positive note I got 71 for the last assignment, and some really good comments, including professionally laid out report, good introduction, nregatives went to broad, but considering wasn't 100% sure what I was doing.
Hope everyones ok, and got everything ready for Easter. xx
Am absolutely shattered, dreading sorting out my room, thats next week.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
