Thanks ladies!
Well Bethan's injections went well and since them she's slept longer stretches at night, only waking once for a feed!! yeay!
We're not really doing much for Easter, so nothing to plan for then, but it was my Mum's birthday yesterday and we're having a get together this Sunday. Madly, I've decided to do a mississippi mud pie and a birthday cake - not just any old cake either, a proper birthday type one - it'll be a book with a bookworm coming out of it! I blame hubby - he bought me a fab cake book for christmas so here we go!

Sarah that was interesting to read about the bedroom themes. From a craft (and messy) point of view, there's a lot of Indiana Jones (how exciting) things you can make with paper mache and gold paint and stick on jewels..As well as using tea to stain maps etc When you say tea chest, is this one of those upright wooden boxes or a like sea treasure chest with hinges?
I know so Exciting, can't wait to get stuck in, may even start before we move lol:D
For the tea chest I mean those old wooden boxes/ crates you used to get when you moved house IYKWIM like cargo box type things, thought they would look pretty good... I love Indy and I'm getting jelous now with all the ideas I'm coming up with, not sure if OH would be too keen on an Indy themed bedroom for us LOL although I did manage to find the bedding in a double size;):D:D:D:D
Where's the Coffee?? Show me the Coffee NOW!!0 -

You're making me think about my own bedroom now LOL, I've been wanting a change of decor.
Tea chests - how about freecycle or something like that?0 -
Hello all:j
sarah - you could try freecycle for tea chests........you never know, someone might have moved and have them kicking about.
rufus -thanks for the woollies tip.............wonder if they've any childrens baking sets.................worth a look I think.
angela - don't get a stiff jaw.......well now I've said that my jar does click now and then.............don't have sinus problems though and my ears don't hurt.......just feel like they're clogging up. What is TMJ ?
Not done much today though feels a lot............seems to have taken me nearly all day to put embellishments on the scrapbook I'm doing..............I've put it away now for a day...........or two maybe.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi Mary,
TMJ is when your jaws get very tense - and they do click. Can be helpful to avoid biting nails, chewing pens, eating thick or hard food etc as this makes everything worse including ear probs.
A while back I found a miracle cure for all this, it was called Audi clean or something like that, a spray of water you put in your ears. After I ran out, I bought a new one but it was a different make and this one doesn't work as good as the previous one so I have to use olive oil for a couple of days each week.
cd smiler - Someone's going to be very lucky with those lovely cakes you are planning to make.0 -
Sarah, I have been making treasure maps with the kids today - I used some lining paper and tore around the edges, screw it into a ball and then flatten it out again - then as Anglea said you can soak it in cold strong tea for a while or just rub with a wet tea bag after making a brew, then leave to dry and draw on your map - looks really good, is really cheap and dead easy to make!
For a treasure chest you can use a normal box and use some cardboard to make the curved top (if you want one like that), then paint.

Hello all :j
Angela - thanks..............I've made a note of that. Or maybe doing the olive oil thing every week.
Well, nearly finished the scrapbook I was doing for mums friends niece................its only a small one and OH bought me a big one complete with papers and bits for christmas...........already had one in the drawer waiting to be done....thought I'd do one each for my sons for Christmas but the time it takes me I'm not sure which Christmas it'll be................lol:rotfl:
Hairdressers are having an open evening tonight (all been decorated) and they rang to see if I'd like to go.....they'll be vouchers and special offers...........pouring with rain at the minute so don't feel inclined but its only at the bottom of the road and if it means I get a cheapie hair do -or more......well think I'll chance it..............and there's nibbles !!!!!!!!!:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I finished my eldeset daughter's quilt last night and just have to finish off my brother's one too. Glad those are out of the way. Have got my son's one pieced together ready for tacking.
Did any of you who did the Woolworth thing hear from them? There have been some things said on the discount codes and vouchers thread that makes me think they will either cancel the orders or make us pay full price. I haven't had a confrimation email at all but my OH had one for the thing he ordered. His expected date to receive it is next Friday. They have taken the full amount from his bank and it said in the email they will refund the discount when the item is despatched. The expected date of delivery for my order is Monday but the order is still processing in my account so not sure what is going on. They haven't actually taken any money out of my bank yet but the full amount is showing in my bank when I got to available balance so looks like it is going to come out on Monday unless the order gets cancelled.0 -
I tried to get on Woolworths site last night and it was 'shut down due to being so busy' (or words to that effect). Had another look just now and can't find what I'm after anyway and no sign of any discount offers so I really don't know.
I was hoping to get some plastic mixing bows and other cooking stuff (on a very small scale) for my grandson..........they've got the 'kitchens' but I want a selection of stuff he can actually have a go at rather than pretend.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
