I think thats a good idea angela, always handy to have some things in, anyone got some ideas for hampers?

    I`ll go first..

Thanks to whoopie doos inspiration I`m going to make some bracelets, I`ve ordered some beads and some gift boxes from a site and am going to give it a go. Not sure how they`ll be received though, never gave handmade things to people before apart from cards.

My children are 18 later this year, so need 18 gifts for them, ones a boy and ones a girl. Did get the make over for the girl, not sure about boy yet, he has his driving test saturday, so we`ll see

Other ideas would be welcome though

    Hello all :j
Angela -Don;t know anyone who'd like a tub full of crafty stuff........I did think about a 'relaxation pot' but can't think of anything apart from scented candles.......;)

Spent today scrapbooking......well of a sort. I'd bought a small scrapbook last year and got around to covering the pages with paper but no further. It's for mums friends niece............she was so good to Mum before she died and did all the things I'd have done if I'd lived nearer. All she wanted was a photograph she said..........well she's got a little potted history of mum.............lol
All I've got to do is decorate the pages with a few embellishments and thats her birthday pressie sorted (she reminded me yesterday that its at the beginning of April ;))

Other than that not done a lot..............despite having my ears syringed they still feel like they're clogged up.................can see me going to see the GP -again.
Seems all I do nowadays.............maybe me and OH have reached the stage/age when all our outings are to somewhere medical.....................lol:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Wow, you all seem busy!

Mary, I hope your ears are feeling better soon ;)

I got a fluffy white dressing gown from Asda today, it was supposed to be £16, but I had £6 worth of luncheon vouchers so that brought it down to £10 - have put it away for mum for Christmas to go with her white slipper set I got from BHS sale earlier in the year. I also got 3x double Cadburys drinking chocolate sachets on 3 for £1 - they will be used for choccy mugs (got the choccy mugs in Boots sale, but the sachets would have been out of date by Christmas so I used them up).

I'm really looking forward to freeing up some room now before I get more stuff - I have my sister's 40th birthday on 3rd April, Easter 4th April, Dad's 60th on 19th April and Dad's partner birthday on 25th April - once these gifts have all been shifted, I will have a bit more space to stash the other things I need to get. :rotfl:

Oh, I bought some lovely patchwork fabric in pink the other week, so I am hoping to make 2 quilts for the girls for Christmas - must get started on them soon or they will never get done!

I had quite a creative day the other day and made a couple of plate cake stands and a picture frame tray to put my new teapot set for one on - Can't post my own piccies so I have included the links from where I got them. For my frame tray I didn't use handles as my frame was too narrow (I painted it white) and I just put a lovely piece of wrapping paper inside - it looks really effective!

Hope this might be of some use to somebody!

Wow - where on earth does she get ideas like those? So simple, yet I would have never thought to do them. I bet they look great Jane.

This is one for you to try Mary. :) I might even try the tray myself (I have a cake stand already).

Not long til easter now..... are we all organised????

I'm semi organised but still have 6 sock monsters to make, so hope to get them done this weekend. Oh and I need to decide about the kids, but as we are hoping to move might get them things for new bedroom and says thats for easter, DS1 wants more dr who things and I have seen a life size cardboard cutout of david tennat for £25 in town so may get him that as he has a lots of the other things, DS2 wants Indiana Jones:eek: so need to get my thinking cap on for that one, I have seen the bedding and curtains but need to think of how to decorate etc... I bought him 2 large garden bhuddas in the £1 shop the other day thought I could spray them gold, and on one wall do a map type print thing?? wouldn't mind getting some old tea chests too, but not sure where I could get them, had a look online and they are about £16 for the cheapest:eek:

    Any ideas welcome???

Just found a code for Woolworths on the discount and voucher thread where if you are a new customer to them you can get £15 off of a £15 minimum spend so in effect you can order something for £15 and you just pay the pp charge which is £3.95.

I just ordered my Grandaughter and Furreal Puppy for her birthday and the code worked. It was supposed to be £15 plus pp but I only paid £3.95.

Thanks Rufus - You're a life saver again!

I have bought DD2 the puppy one (she wanted the chick but sadly they didn't do it) will put the wii game I originally bought her for Easter away for xmas.

For anyone not ordered yet, if you place an order for over £15 (toys) there's a 10% discount code on the site bringing the cost lower, and 20% off some clothes too. Also if you live near a collect+ shop, you can have free delivery too.

    Hi all

Mary, as you're always having troubles with your ears I wondered if you also had a stiff jaw or sinus problems? Reason I'm saying this is I have TMJ and always having probs with ears (excess wax, pain) - even have to sleep on a special type of pillows.

Jane - that AshleyAnne has a great site, I lost myself looking at all the other projects on there.

Sarah that was interesting to read about the bedroom themes. From a craft (and messy :)) point of view, there's a lot of Indiana Jones (how exciting) things you can make with paper mache and gold paint and stick on jewels..As well as using tea to stain maps etc When you say tea chest, is this one of those upright wooden boxes or a like sea treasure chest with hinges?
