    Hi girls,

If any of you are interested Ethel Austins is closing down (in receivership) and it's 60% off. I got some things today. There were people with loads of baskets buying up all the baby and childrens stuff. I looked at the gift bags, wrapping paper etc but it was all for Valentines Day none of the Xmas things..

Angela - haven't heard of that place before.........mind you we're 20 miles from most shops anyway and I'm trying desparately hard to aim for an almost cost free year as far as pressies go.

Does anyone else get bogged down with too many 'projects' on the go hence it seems to take an age to get anything finished ? Or is it just me ?
Since I found my 'bargain scrapbook' at the bootfair I've trawled web sites for cheapish paper to go in it (with not much luck) - button bracelets still waiting to be re-started on - list remains 'unticked'................oh dear..............'organisation' is definitely not my middle name.....................:rotfl: 'chaos'..............maybe...........lol

Think its time to watch some tele (and hoping its not football)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Anglea that's brilliant! I just googled it and au naturel is also closing down, I think they must both be owned by the same company! I've tried to get on the site through and I can't, dont know if it has closed down or just too busy lol! Does anyone know if there is either a ethel austin or au naturel in yorkshire? west yorkshire would be better but im happy to travel for bargains lol! xx

I know the bogged down feeling, I've got 2 kids cardis on the go, mislaid half my xmas list, think its safe on the dining room table... and trying to help Miss Hoodie knit a scarf for Big Boy (3ft dalmation soft toy!), when she 1st got him he was bigger than her, we started off with 30 stitches, then we got to 36, last count 40....... but its her 1st try and shes doing well with it.

    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

:j:jHad some brilliant news, after taking the jewellery in, (broken), I found the chain that broke been repaired twice £35 a time, wasn't worth paying that again, hense newchain for bday, found some odd bits of jewellery, broken braclets, bent out of shape, in all honestly thought I'll only get £50...... boy did I get a shock
    £210.00
So exicted, I was gobsmacked, I was close to passing out in shock, if I hadn't of got the crutches, would of fallen in shock, dad was with me and apparently I went white as a ghost.

When I've cashed P.O. from car ins company, as when I went to take it out in Dec, the link on Quidco was broke, so as a goodwill gesture they said they'd send me £30. It came, so that and 2 jewellery sales, £400, banked it, and its going for Dom Rep nxt yr, as dd wants to do dolphin swim, so we will have some treats. xx

Nearest ethel Austins to Bradford is in shipley, theres also one is Batley Leeds and Dewsberry if they are any good. I would just check they are still open though as our local one closed down 2 weeks ago now wouldnt want you to have a wasted journey

I was sent this link yesterday:
    http://www.jeangreenhowe.com/patterns.html
It has free patterns for lots of knitted toys, there are some VERY cute ones :) My favourites are the little rainbow dolls and the pretend food, they look like they wouldn't take long to do at all but would make lovely little gifts.
There are some cute Easter eggs and egg holders for anyone that can knit quickly :)
