Hi - I've been looking in on MSE for about a week now, and only just found this thread.

It sounds like a fantastic idea, and was wondering if I could join you all.

I don't have children myself, but loads of friends & family children who seem to be increasing at an alarming rate, so will have to get myself organised this year.

One thing I got a couple of years ago on ebay was silver and semi-precious stone pendants and earings, which you could sometimes get for about 99p and were really lovely. I got quite a few and they were super for Christmas/Birthday presents etc.

Will just go and read through some of the posts

    Hi all

Susan that's a gorgeous doll. So sweet. Love it..
Mum2One - lucky you  all that money and a brilliant holiday lined up too!
I couldn't get into Ethel A's today because of the queue, so good luck for anyone that goes in the next few days.

Been working on my son's Chrstmas and Birthday pressie most of the day.

On the subject of knitting - did any of you enter the Harry Hill tv Burp knitting contest?

    Mum2one - wow that's brilliant.

Mary - I have some papers and embellishments I would like to send you, if you would like to pm me your address. Just bits and peices, but I'd rather recycle them than throw them away. You would be doing me a favour!

Oops forgot to add, thanks for the link Nicky.

And last but not least - Susan - I cannot beleive that was your first attempt at knitting, it's brilliant!!!!

That rainbow baby looks so good Susan, I can't believe it was the first thing you ever knitted! I haven't learnt to knit yet, I still get my Mum to knit things for me :) I've asked her to make the little pretend food from that website as I'm sure my son would love to play 'picnics' with them.

Welcome Emiliah - oh it's nice having all these new people joining in!

Wow, up to new challenge again - will try to do a better job than last month - I did pick n mix and got some done so better than nothing!

Right, had better go - we're cheating tonight and having take-away - both just so busy and tired at the moment - we don't know whether we're coming or going!
