mum2one - thanks............think I did see it but then forgot what was on it............I just knew I hadn't done anything:(
    But I have now..............#
Drawers...........cleared out all the drawers (and cupboards) in my desk so now they're all neat and I can find stuff -even stuck labels on a few boxes inside them.
    Kitchen ones are next.

Cooking is OH's department............we have got a collection of old cookery books and they're all neatly in one place but he's yet to find a home for the Hairy Bikers cookbook my son bought him for Christmas.

The rest I'll look at another day once I get this appt with the 'boffin' out of the way. Might know where we are a bit more then hopefully.

Now off to have quality time with OH........and some tele
before the cat nicks my bit of the sofa.................lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Have ordered some knit and crochet books off amazon for mum for mothers day as she has just started buying the 'rip-off' weekly magazine/folder subscriptions. At least it gives her something to do.

Still need to order lads vouchers but have applied for his summer camp so another thing ticked off my list :(

Luckily last year we didn't have any mishaps - has anybody else had a nightmare Mothers' Day?

Not on Mother's day, but my son usually manages to have a hospital trip on or very close to a special occasion:

    * When he was 4 weeks old he ended up in hospital on Christmas Eve with a dodgy rash.

    * Next year he was in hospital overnight on my birthday as doctor thought she found a 'mass' in his stomach. After numerous blood tests, ultrasound scans etc a consultant checked him and said there was nohing there. I'm still angry, she never should have used the word 'mass' without being sure as it instantly makes you fear the worst.

*Last year, we took him to the doctors for unexplained bruises on his back which resulted in us being sent to the hospital for more blood tests and examinations. This time it was on our wedding anniversay!

Let's hope he doesn't continue the tradition this year :)

Well I am not doing a Mothers Day trip to the Crem this year as OH is out all weekend and I cant get there without a car so will buy a nice bunch of flowers and have them indoors instead. Dont know if I will see my son, he sometimes pops a card through the door but I am lucky if I see him. My eldest daughter has said she wants to do something with me so that will be nice if it comes off. If it doesnt there is always the Grand Prix starting again on the tv lol. Youngest daughter usually gives me a card then its out with her friends lol.

Will hopefully hear form the sewing machine bloke today to find if he can do anything with it. Have made good prgress with the hand quilting while being machine-less. Have finished eldest daughters, it just needs the binding put on the edges which will need the machine. Son's one is in the process of being quilted so will hopefully get on with that today as not going out. Just need to get my shopping list sorted for this months big shop first then day is mine.

Well Nicky and Mum2one - it seems as though it is not just me then with children getting ill at awkward times - forgot that when DD1 was being christened / baptised, the day before DS fell down the stairs and ended up with a huge egg like lump on his forehead, so he was whisked away in an ambulance for head X-rays - all was fine, but the swelling moved down his forehead to the top of his nose and he ended up with 2 black eyes - not good on the Christening photos! :rotfl:

DD1 on holiday fell off the buggy board and caught her eye on it and got a black eye!

Oh the joys of having children :D

Elysia - glad your DD is showing an interest in gardening - I take DD2 to a gardening club at some allotments on Thrsday afternoons - whatever we grow we share out and bring home - we had loads of stuff last year - still have some onions left now.

Right had better go and get something done...

My DD has suffered high temperatures and febrile convulsions ever since she was tiny, so I have to keep on eye her. She's 7 now and still has them.

At Disney land in December 2008, she came down with another bad temperature. It didn't help that the day before we had a three and a half hour wait outside (it was really cold) to see Santa! DD2 too ill to go on any rides, and the last day was spent sat at the eurotunnel station because she too ill to walk and too heavy to carry. I've never been so worried in my life - what was we going to do if she got worse? We got home and she was right as rain the next day. Kids!!!

    Hello all :j
Lets hope Mums day goes without any unwanted incidents for everybody.

Well, not done much today except do another Mums Day card for MIL (didn't like the first one).......and cover two more empty pill boxes..............lol This rate I'll have loads of little boxes and nothing to put in them.........lol
Found a tube that had a bottle of whisky in -got a gold lid, perfect for christmas. And I've still got some cheap tescos bubble bath I decanted into a pretty bottle so going to turn it into a 'pamper pot' and put bubble bath in and freebie things I've sent for .............that'll be another pressie sorted.
Meant to go into town to get some elastic cotton but didn't feel like it -just as well as it poured with rain for an hour and been just my luck to be caught in it.

Found an offer in daily paper for card making set.........not sure whether to send for it or not.......bound to be bits I don't want and its £14.99 plus £4.49 del................. Do I take a chance ?????
    Oh what the heck.............why not..............:rotfl:

    Good morning Sarah, morning everyone.

I found this on the internet if anyone is interested. It may be the same or similar offer to that in the MSE Newsletter (I only read the newsletter quickly).

You need to change the city where you live, but you can get a Cinema ticket for only £1.00. If you need more, just use a different email address for each one. If not enought people buy, the deal doesn't go ahead and nothing gets charged to your card. Sounds good to me! Just to add - you receive a voucher through the post, which is valid until 25th April, so great for keeping kids entertained during Easter hols.
