    Hi all

Well done Mum2one, no wonder you were exhausted.

That's a very good list Rufus,

For those of you that buy (and wrap) presents a long way in advance of Christmas I often wonder what happens if you spot something even better nearer the time - especially if it's something the recipient suddenly announces they'd like months after you've already sorted them out - do you get that as well?

Its weird but birthday presents stay the same xmas presents I have been known to swop around, but more the "expensive ones" £20 - friends presents - esp with the offers they had last year with Boots, so I tend to put the presents brought on the side and maybe swop around, or carry forward to next yr.
The plan is to wrap the xmas presents in Nov, so they get what there given and any nice Boots offers can be mine..............!!!!!

Weird thou I don't get mum, dads or dds to nearer xmas, last yr almost forget my mother!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I've been very naughty - but very mse....

Brought one of those beaded bracelets last yr for myself had it made up in Tavistosk, then I saw the Argos ones which were much better so got them. then b4 xmas, in Prima you just paid the p+p, and u got one of those bracelets with starter middle and 2 decorated balls, - put them up safe and thought I'll split the beads off the 1st and make 2 bracelets for the 18th we've got this yr..... Sods law put them up so safe couldn't find them, so Argos to the rescue and got the Morgan watches.

Yesterday while doing the wrapping found the bracelets, so took the watches back, made up the presents and going to put them on ebay...... the original price was £45 but I pd £11 so hopefully they should sell, put them on later for 7 days then that give them the weekend viewers, wish me luck xx

    Hello all :j
Rufus -Very organised list ....now why can't I be like that;)

Angela - I tend not to wrap christmas pressies too far in advance just in case I end up buying the same thing again for the same person. I sort them out end of October time when I've got them all (hopefully) and get them wrapped and ticked off my list.

    mum2one -very mse................what more can I say.............:rotfl:

Well, not done much today except cover a Vic vapour rub box with floral paper and spend an age trying to concoct a key ring for my son. I'd already got a couple of wooden beads off a belt I got from charity shop and three times I tried to thread a button on that looks a bit like a football (know the sort I mean ? Normally on mens jackets) three times it fell off  In the end I threaded the button through the key ring and it looks fine........don't know why I didn't do that in the first place............;)

Shan't be doing much tomorrow as its OH's appt. for his scan and we're doing a bit of retail therapy to kill the time beforehand -he's got to go 4 hours with no food or drink !! At least browsing round the shops might take his hunger pangs away
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Woohoo, I've completed one part of March's challenge already - 4 Easter eggs for niece and nephews bought today. I saw them in Tescos for only 97p, especially good price as they aren't the little tiny ones, they're a decent size.
I usually buy their eggs a couple of weeks before Easter thinking that's plenty early enough, but then find most places are nearly sold out and end up paying £4 for each egg, so that has saved me around £12 :)

Hi all, thanks for the replies about the presents.

Mum2One, brilliant ideas for the bracelets. That was really funny to read about you nearly forgetting your mum last Xmas. I can't believe the amount of times I've missed my dad's birthday. It's often the ones closest to us that we forget I suppose as we're so focused on everything else.

Mary, I have to wonder what is the most unusual box you've covered? :) Since I 'met' you on here, I'm always eyeing looking at empty boxes at home and thinking what I can make with them.

March challenge - I've tidied my cook books by cutting up boxes and making those file type boxes with them.

Vicky - thanks for the egg reminder. They were a good price.

    Easter is sorted
Nephew has an egg with a mug Asda £2.00
Two x Neices have high school musical mugs with a packet of hair bobbles £1.87 per child.
DD1 has some perfume and a egg box filled with cadburys cream eggs.
DD2 has a wi game and an egg box (same as above)
Will get OH something later - I think he'd prefer a bag of thorntons toffees instead of chocs.

Mary where do you get all these fab ideas?

Mum2one - I need to put some things on ebay but I keep slacking so please feel free to shout at me if I don't do it this week!!!!

Anglea - I always start Christmas early but I could never wrap until October at the earliest as 1. the paper gets damaged, 2 Having bought the presents early, I need the wrapping to get me in a festive mood.

Oooh thanks Elysia, you've just given me a good idea for Dh's Easter present. I want to do something a bit different to just a normal egg, so I'm going to buy 12 little eggs like Cadbuy's Creme eggs and fill a dozen egg box. I've got a big egg box in the cupboard now so I'll just have to make sure it doesn't get thrown away when it's empty. Thanks for the brainwave!
