    Xmas Saver!
Sarah - Those ideas are absolutely fab, thank you, love the chocolate bath, may have to sneak some ready for holidays.

Mary - Bet ur relieved u've got the button necklace done, sounds fab.

Beermat collection - now up to 20!!!

Had a very mse night out last night, the bill came to £77.00 (there was just 2 of us) all I paid £8 for the 2 sets of liquer cofffees, they were fab so we had a 2nd one.....
Yes a £77 bill and there was 2 of us...... not that we were being greedy (ok slightly), but went for an Indian last Feb and the service was carp, the meals were as bad, and I ended up with food poisoning thou we couldn't determine where from......... but I gave it an awful rating on Bview.... just b4 xmas, the boss had adopted the restaurant as his own, and offered me a free meal, so eventually got round to taking him up on it, he told us to have what we wanted. (we did)
    Popaddums
2 starters (one was prawn dish)
2 mains (one was king prawn)
    2 namm breads
    chips
    rice
    bottle wine
    2 drinks each
    2 liquer coffees
4 x baileys (gave us free)

So bar being stuffed, the service was exceptional, food was 10/10 so will write a bview report.

so funny my friend had gone to the loo and the next thing I hear this banging - the whole restaurant heard it..... I thought she'd got stuck in the loo...... turned out to be one of the waiters had gone into their room and the door shut and jammed on him....

dad did the school run, and my friend she got sunglasses on, she said once she'd hit the fresh air it had gone to her head!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello all:j

elyphant - getting hooked on button necklaces now............lol Did another one today...........seemed to take me an age -phone kept ringing then I dropped some buttons on the floor...............lol Still its done now. Next one will be a mixture of beads and buttons I think.........;)

Covered one of my empty pill boxes with paper this morning and popped the metal book mark I'd got in it......so now I can see me covering all sorts of pill boxes for these buttons..................lol

sarah - oh don't mention settees.............young girl is round here hoovering and she always re-arranges the cushions on the sofa.............dread to think what she'll find this week...........mixture of biscuit crumbs and peanuts...........thats just for starters.............lol

The beermats - the great plan is to use them for crafting with the kids at school, hopefully make calender coasters, I've got voluntered to help with the craft class to run it with the lady I went out with last ngt.

Just hoping shes brainer than me, I have the memo set, calender coasters, so could be fun!! xx

    Hello all :j
Well, two more button necklaces done -one black and white (grandaughter has her 'goth' moments) and the other is a mixture of beads and buttons in brown. Getting limited on colours now but saved some nice turquoise ones for a bracelet. I'm just so pleased its a christmas pressie thats cost me nothing..............:p
With OH not able to work at the minute I'm aiming for as low a spend on pressies this year as it possible and if I can recycle something I've got, all to the good.

mum2one -you'll have a lot of fun doing those coaster calendars and I bet they'll look good:j

Sorry I haven't been around for a while! Bought some lovely cards from Paperchase today (reasonable costs and they're gorgeous guys!).

Mum's mother's day present is done and wrapped - then it's my friend's birthday, and a couple of weeks later another friend's birthday.. thing is, they never know what they want, so end up with money or I have to go out at the last minute - argh. Thankfully the second one actually has a long list of stuff she wants, so that's good for once :)

    Hi all,

Doesn't time tly, not long ago we were doing last minute Christmas things, now it's Mother's Day. Thanks for the ideas.

I kept thinking it was later in the month, so will have to get my skates on. Got Dad's birthday very soon and still not thought of anything as I had a good idea but it didn't work out at such short notice so I'll ask him on Sunday if he needs anything.

Mum2One, that meal sounded really good -YUMMY lots to eat and drink.

Mary, I'm really pleased to hear that you've been successful with your button bracelets because it's something I've been meaning to try out one day. Have you ever tried using beads and safety pins? I've got a kit but haven't tried it yet.

Sarah I laughed about your sofa treasure trove. I've never found anything like that in mine.

Just remembered I've got a sympathy card to write. That's another type of card I need to think about stocking at home.

I don't know about the rest of you but I have so many ideas, yet often never get round to it all as in other areas of life I've also got a lot of to-do lists and it's working out priorities that is complicated. Plus the computer and online forums takes a lot of time.

I've been very orgainsed 2day and wrapped the bday presents upto Dec (bar 3, 1 luggage suitcase for kids - throught the wheels go through the paper, the other 2 the stuff in loft).

Wrapped a baby package - 3 baby cardigans and crocheted blanket, did mini presents for the brother + 2 sisiters

then presents for 3 other siblings as it seems to be a baby boom, and I always like to get a little something if the have any kids already, shows there still thought about.

Absolutely shattered, going to get a glass of wine later. xx

    I don't blame you Mum2one - I think you've dfinately earned it.

Have Dad's birthday, nephew's bday, Mother's day and one little girls bday party this month.

Found Nephews bday pressie in bottom of wardrobe, I'd forgotten I'd bought it as it was back in November sometime.

Dad was looking at something for £60 in B&Q while I dragged him along with me to carry some paint, But guess who found the same thing in different packaging on the clearance shelves? Me LOL. Paid £25 instead, so that's him sorted.

Bought Mum an electric propogater for her new greenhouse (bought that back in September half price at Wilko's), purchased some seeds sets, and have got the tea and biscuit hamper from BHS for her. Will get her a garden centre gift voucher and that will be March sorted.

Little girls party is tomorrow, so will wrap the Hannah Montana doll, I bought last week. Just need sort out a card, have some cards upstairs but not one with a 7 on!
