    Hi all

Can i please join in? I have a wardrobe full of clothes that don't fit me and a fabric stash that John Lewis would be proud of.
Plan to spend the bulk of the £100 this year on shoes, tights and underwear and for anything else i will make or adapt what i have with the aid of charity shop purchases.
Will get the sewing machine out and see if i can make a suit for work later in the year.

Congrats Fairysnow, that is a great return! :j Would you be willing to let us know what sold well - any surprises? Sometimes its worth knowing whether it is worth selling in the first place (I refer back to my £1.49 coast silk dress sale, I really should have kept it :()

  • Hi everyone, just a quick update: No new spends and no new temptations. I've got some gift vouchers if I do get any urges but am more than fine for now. I have more important things to spend my limited funds on *currently now redundant*

    Hello Flickering Ember,

Good luck on the job hunting. It focuses the mind doesn't it? I'll be joining you come April.

I have spent £26 in Sainsburys on a tracksuit and a linen shirt BUT I knew when I was buying it that it was either / or. The linen shirt is a lovely colour but too boxy for me whereas the tracksuit will look fantastic on Saltburn Beach next Sunday morning.:T £16 back to me.

Gawd, I can honestly say im adicted to shopping. It's a bit like a drug, I can be having a terrible day, I walk round the shops buy some stuff and then im all mellow an fine again :( does anybody else think there as adicted to shopping as somebody adicted to say gambling would be to their vice?

  • I have to declare some not-so-guilty purchases....went to the charity shops as I had nothing 'smart' to wear for something I need to go to soon

I got a pair of wallis trousers - a pair of next trousers and a lovely longer length top all for £10 : ) Im so pleased as I had been into monsoon (why!!?? as I should have known!) and they had a 70% sale and I bought some trousers and a top for £40 but they are going back now after my bargains : ) I never really look in monsoon but they did have some lovely things (sooo glad Im on this challenge as I know I wont venture in there again!)

I also got a coat I ordered from the next sale way before the new year . Im debating on it as I have needed a coat for the last three years and put up with my old tatty one and every year trawl the bargain places/supermarkets trying every coat on and never buying it.
but saw this one and ordered it thinking it wouldnt arrive...and it came £30 reduced from £65 I think so a bargain and it looks lovely on.Im really fussy with coats .

Im guessing its not counted as its the 'keep you warm' variety rather than the 'lovely to own' ones. but will someone confirm then I can stop feeling guilty and go try it on again : )

Still not spent anything - thinking I should unsubscribe from all the websites that keep sending me emails though.. temptation! Mind you I did just get one from Karen Millen with a coat that looks quite like one I have at home but had forgotten about - http://www.karenmillen.com/Military-coat/Outerwear/karen-millen/fcp-product/903000053801?cm_mmc=EMAIL-_-MAIN-_-2009wk52a-_-Coats - must dig it out again :D
