Hi
Went up to Debenhams at the Metro Centre yesterday for some bedding..........ended up resisiting anything for myself:) but got OH a towelling robe(he was using my old one from years ago!!!) for £18!!!! Reduced from £45 so very happy about that.
So that brings his spends down to £82 and mine is still £100.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend xxSealed pot challenge 7...my number is 2144.....started Nov 29th ....0 -
Today i'm staying in going to start to go through all my clothes that should help me resist temptation.0

Although not included in my budget, I managed to resist a lovely grey leather handbag on sale in Oasis! It was £40 reduced from £60 and I've been eyeing it up for 2 weeks, eventually asked the sales assistant if it was likely to be reduced again and she said no so I walked away! Even text OH to ask if I should buy it, he said yes, but I was 20 miles down the motorway by that point, quite glad really as it was to go with grey boots I have but I have LOADS of lovely coloured bags which go just as well. Wow mega post from me!
I also revived a black/greyish and cream summer dress by wearing it with thick tights, boots and a cardi, got loads of compliments, who needs new clothes?!0 -

A Chair? :j I'm moving to your house.
Lula, I am proud to announce that I have not bought any clothes, not even those that don't count
- the reason being, it is too cold to try things on. Once I'm dressed I'm staying dressed. Well, it's as good a reason as any, and it works.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I am doing a very similar personal challenge this year, but my challenge is to spend NOTHING on clothes or accessories in 2010. I have only allowed myself one exception, and that is to buy 2 outfits for weddings I have coming up this year. One next month, and one in August.
I am doing this because I was having a wardrobe clear-out at the end of the summer holidays and realised I had 3 almost identical pink tops, and no recollection of buying any of them! I also have enough underwear, socks etc to stock a shop!
So, I'm doing well so far! I've bought a top for this February wedding, and am pairing it with black trousers I already own. And am basically staying away from clothes shops!!Because it's fun to have money!

Hi. Nice to see everyone doing so well. I've spent £6 on a dress in the sale. Still deliberating whether I should keep it though. This challenge is great for keeping me focused, so far I could easily have spent over £50 on "bargains".
I'm having a bit of a dilemma though. I needed some wellies so managed to find a pair of fairly decent ones for £6. There are some Hunter ones in TK Maxx for £30 which I know is mad money. They're meant to be really good though. Wellies aren't exactly a hot fashion item but I'm including everything I wear in this challenge so I'm deliberating. Maybe it will be ok if I do some ebaying...?
Just realised that I now need to declare welly spend too, so that's £12 spent in total.
Have a great day everyone.Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -
Thought I would get through January without a spend BUT had a browse round Debenhams yesterday and found a pair of 3/4 lengths for the gym (pineapple in the style I love) reduced to £8 had to buy them! but I did put back the coat and tunic that I was carrying around for a while!Slightly bitter0

:T well done!!
I went to the Trafford Centre on my own on sat - which I thought was going to be a big challenge. But thankfully it was so busy and nightmare-ish that I just got the present and left. Couldn't be bothered to try on a thing!

Myself and my fiance went house hunting at the weekend, and we actually found one we really really like. Its in a very trendy little town with a lot of boutiques, all within walking distance. However knowing we could be paying a morgage soon is really focussing me on not spending, as we still need to save towards our wedding, and the house will need furniture, some decorating, and about 10k of urgent works as soon as we move in. Hi everyone
Well I have to declare a tshirt for £7.50 although I ordered it from the next sale in december but its on this months money so I have to count it really. It was one I had been waiting for to reduce and I will wear it lots.(ahh this thread is great as I feel I have to justify everything I buy - which means alot of things which I nearly buy - I dont end up buying as I know I have to tell you all ! )
Im trying to lose weight so I have also bought some new jeans as my others wouldve fallen down if you tugged on them too hard (which my little boy does occasionally do!) so it wasnt worth the risk ... but they were ebay bargains at £5.60
Im going to start ebaying things which dont fit and count the money now as I have a pile of clothes to ebay and usually its other things mixed in so I cant work out which is which after fees/p&p but will have to start that soonWeekly Spend Challenge £200
