    I've been naughty :)

Had a pop into Primark and ended up buying six new tops - oops. They're all just plain, basic tops, but something my wardrobe was REALLY lacking, plenty of fancy things but sometimes that's not what you want is it! :)

So I bought... one purple, one pink, one black and one white vest top (£1.50 each), plus a blue top (£2) and a grey top (£1.50) - so that's £9.50 I spent.

Also got six new pairs of tights, but they're not included ;) and some black pumps - also not included.

    So that's £9.50 gone for me, £90.50 left! :)

I fear it may be too late for me already this year
Although all purchases were charity shop buys or in the sales (I must stay away from Jane Norman, I must stay away from Jane Norman...) and bought using money my parents gave me for Christmas.

So I think I'll limit myself to charity shops for now, keep coming here for inspiration and pysche myself up for the challenge when I know I can give it my best shot!

And I am now off to find the receipts and calculate exactly what I have spent already - that should frighten me into the challenge :D

  • Hello All

Thanks to those who sent good wishes- am feeling much better now - I never went to the 18th birthday last night so at least I didn't have to think about what to wear.I had to drag myself to dentist early yesterday for check up and I could have easily gone to look round shops afterwards but I came straight home instead- really pleased with myself!:)

But today have recieved TWO wedding invitations - one to the evening reception at some posh hotel in a nearby town in April - that one I should be able to find something to wear in my wardrobe easy(just like a eve out I suppose) but the other is in June for the whole wedding inc reception and evening do- I will have to try and find out how posh this one is going to be.

Might have to find out its "hats & fascinator" kind of do or not- have got one of each stuffed on top of wardrobe in black(I think!) if it is (phew)that will help-am determined not to buy anything new for either wedding if I can help it!

I've had to buy a new swimsuit today - going to centerparcs next week & have put on weight lately so no way my old swimsuit would have fitted - not even going to try! So that was £19...kind of a necessity really but I am going to include it anyway as I don't see myself needing to buy anything else for a while.

Today I popped into town, and thought I would just have a quick look in the charity shops, as I need to replace some grey trousers that I wear for work, which are basically worn out!

    I found some M&S ones for £4.30. :j

While I was there I also picked up a turquoise hairband/pin-on flower. I have been invited to a formal dinner, and thought I could jazz up a black evening dress with it, and save on buying a new frock for the occasion.

    Total spend -£7.29:T
Need to lose 23lb, but need help!:( DFW Weightwatcher: 5lb/26lb
    Decluttered in Feb - 49/100, Mar - 82/100

Well, OK - but it does take me ages & I get quite tired: will anybody in your household get spooked if they find me sitting in the wardrobe like Moira Stuart in the Tax advert?

(oh, and bags I NOT doing the mending, ironing etc afterwards!)

Trouble is, luxor, there isn't room to sit in any of my wardrobes at the moment... I could offer you a chair though ?

    Hello everyone
Haven't been on here for a few days so just been reading back through the thread. Some great bargains being bought (and returned in some cases - yay!) and great resistance techniques by others...

I still have spent absolutely nothing and am really proud of myself, have resisted all the sales this year for the first time ever...... I'm "thinking" about ebaying some of my clutter but "haven't quite got around to it yet!" - I'm sure we all know that feeling!!!!

    Well done everyone.
