Thank you Lula-Hula and Souk08 - I have ordered The Trinny and Susanna book off playtrade for £2 - any excuse to buy a book!

Thanks Franby - Youve just reminded me that I bought that book in the charity shop near me before Xmas and forgot all about it -Will dig it out of the cupboard tonight along with my Gok Wan one { also purchased at a charity shop } and have a look for some very useful tips :o
Thankyou Hula for adding me again :)

Well Ive bought DD a couple of bits the other day - Some red pants I looked everywhere for to match a top she had bargain on a sale £ 1.50
A Nike t-shirt brand new from charity shop £2.00
A pretty red warm dress great for the summer lounging and good for colder days to be worn with tights £1.50
So total dd spending : £5.00

OOOOhh I had a special treat for myself too for my friends birthday night out which was on Friday - I resisted looking in clothes shops so i didnt spend money and I just visited Bank as I have a giftcard for there so my top was on a sale for £15.00 which I dont need to add - And I stil lhave money left on the giftcard :)
I also had a wander round for some fashion jewellery to go with the top , but in the end I resisted temptation and opted to save money and wear ones I already had at home :T.
So im on a good start so far :rotfl:

Although not included in my budget, I managed to resist a lovely grey leather handbag on sale in Oasis! It was £40 reduced from £60 and I've been eyeing it up for 2 weeks, eventually asked the sales assistant if it was likely to be reduced again and she said no so I walked away! Even text OH to ask if I should buy it, he said yes, but I was 20 miles down the motorway by that point, quite glad really as it was to go with grey boots I have but I have LOADS of lovely coloured bags which go just as well. Wow mega post from me!

I also revived a black/greyish and cream summer dress by wearing it with thick tights, boots and a cardi, got loads of compliments, who needs new clothes?!

Well done Swinstie for staying strong and resisting the handbag, and also for being inventive :T

  • Hi all,

i had my first spent today - although it wasn't actually a spend but i'm very proud of myself so thought i would share. I had a Monsoon coupon for £10 of (any extra spend would have to go on a store card which is cut into pieces and has a £0 balance) I was determined to use it to not lose it but it was due to run out - i decided on have a good look around , if i brought a bag or scarf it probably wouldn't get used so i ended up buying socks!!!!
And for all that are thinking on puting bits on ebay last week (as some of you may remember) i put 70 items on ebay well i made £370 which is going to PAY OFF my CC!!! :)

    I must declare a 25.10 spend :(
This was spent on the "perfect black dress" which I brought from coast @ Debenhams Online, it should have been £115 and i got it from 23.20 after discounts. Its the perfect dress, it will go for the christening im going to, nights out, any social events, my big valentines date, I SHALL LIVE IN THIS DRESS (honest :S) :) And also 1.90 on a lovely cocktail ring from Debenhams. I shall use my £30 faith voucher to try and buy some "go with everything" court shoes now :)

Currently deciding whether I can justify a coast shrug too to pull of a killar outfit :D
Im trying to use my money to buy investment peices rather than the bits and bobs - and did make £40 profit on ebay last week but thats got to go for a wedding outfit :(

I'm still going well with a zero spend so far this year. Partly due to poor weather and shopping buddies work commitments and availabiity not matching mine. Have purposley not looked at online auctions.

However I do need to refresh my everday undies as they are looking decidedly grey and wouldn't want to be 'seen' in them. Its my birthday next month - could i ask my brother to get me primark boxers ? We don't do vouchers / money as gifts in my family. Really don't want to 'spend' unless I absolutey have to. My challenge was £100 including everything - very strict this year.
