    Hello lovely ladies,

long time no post again :o .This work malarkey is very time consuming.

Congratulations to museumworker on your fab new free clothes :jthey are gorgeous & you deserve to be treated after all your hard work & bargain hunting :D

HAPPY NEW CLOTHES to : Lady from Venice, Shrimpy_80, Souk08, Puss14, determined new ms, museumworker, el1234 & me :D

I decided against blowing 3 years worth of clothes challenge budget on one jacket & instead hunteda roundon ebay until I found a lovely immaculate condition suede coat for the mahoosive sum of £10 :D. As it's replacing the nasty old pink ebay coat I donated to charity, I'm not going to include it in my budget :p. I was outbid on a lovely afghan cardi today & was quite glad as when I went to meet a friend for coffee this morning, she was wearing the exact same one :rotfl:

    That's Clothes Challenge Karma .

All who have blown their budget are very welcome to stay & help keep us out of mischief & well done for getting this far :A

    Off to update totals again

    xx

I have an admission to make. I just spent £22 on a very nice purple silk dress at TK Maxx. I have been watching it for a while, it is a Karen Millen that was supposedly worth £175, was originally £70 in TK Maxx, then down to £33, then down to £22 when I could no longer resist! It even perfectly matches a bag I already have so really it is a saving ..... really :o!!!! I really need it anyway, we have a party coming up and I need something light and dressy for a holiday we have coming up. Anyone get the impressions I'm trying to justify it. This challenge is amazing, I feel really guilty about buying clothes and it has stopped me on several occasions!!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

    Hi all,

Haven't been on for a fair while. Been so hectic with life etc

So i was doing really well, no clothes spending at all .
Then i had to but clothes for funeral/posh clothes for job interviews.
So now i have £68.80 left till January.

But i now have these clothes to add to my repertoire.

    Charity shop
    baby doll dress
    river island pin stripe trousers
    black heeled shoes

    Primark
    short black skirt.

So since i started the challenge i've spent a whopping £31.20:j
Very pleased with myself and cleared a £170 worth of debt:D:D:D

Hope you all doing well x
  • Afternoon All:wave:

    Please can I declare £7.49.

Had a bit of a blip today - gave myself mild food poisoning mid week & work has been naff all week plus family life not great - hence the above spending spree *sigh* well at least it was in charity shops and each piece fits- breakdown as follows - at least i know why I did it

    White & black floral/lacy print tunic - £3.49(for weekend wear through autumn/winter)
Teal 2 in 1 top (blousey and jumper!) -£2 (for training and meetings at work)
White xover hoodie jumper by Roxy -£2 (to layer up as it gets freezing in my house)

On a great note a lovely colleague of mine came round with two HUGE sacks of casts off from her DD1 who just gone to uni and sorted her stuff out - My 2 DD's thought Xmas had come early - all great names and I managed to grab a couple of bits too!:T
Keep it up everyone - Only a couple of months to go - has everyone looked through their wardrobes to decide what they are wearing over Xmas for parties etc? I am probably going to only one so I might "shop" in my boutiquey wardrobe over the weekend.

well done sarahangel on keeping within budget whilst pregnant - maternity clothes can cost a total fortune! Keep us posted on how you do.

A spend to declare - £3.99 on an oasis check shift dress - sleeveless, crossover v front, camel/tan type tones, and ends just under the knee - very mad men and good for this season. Like it with a plain top under it too as a bit more casual for work. My local charity shop is fab :D.

More exciting news for those who wanted to live vicariously through my dress win (for those who don't, look away now!). Went on Friday to choose my clothes. Picked:
http://www.alicebytemperley.com/shop/dresses/wing-dress_6330 jumper dress which is beautiful on, really flattering to my curves and super comfy
another dress which I can't see online, is midnight blue with studs in a polka dot style - sleeveless, just low cut enough... will wear for wedding this week.
    This belthttp://www.alicebytemperley.com/shop/belts/firebird-belt_6390
    This skirt http://www.alicebytemperley.com/shop/skirts/floral-mini-claudia-skirt_6309
    and this leather jacket http://www.alicebytemperley.com/shop/outerwear/corsica-jacket_6378
Have a £400 credit note to go back too :j:j :rotfl:

Was a fantastic experience trying everything on, DD came with me and LOVED it, she charmed the pants off the staff talking fashion and managed to come home with a free £70 scarf! (she is 7 btw :rotfl:, and no, she cannot wear it to school, no matter how much she asks :p). Was funny to see how the wealthy can shop - greeted by name, made tea, brought everything in the right size - and then didn't have to carry it home, had stuff sent back for them (this was from the main Temperley range which is uber expensive!).

The new dress I got looks fab with my leather jacket, and that £10 puff sleeve black 80s style oasis dress i got in the summer looks blinding with the belt!

    *end of showing off*

Wow, Museumworker - love it!!! How fabulous is that Wing dress...it looks stunning. And the Corsica Jacket is very unusual and stylish.

Congratulations on such an amazing and fab win!

Enjoy spending your £400 credit note!

I'm loving this cape at dotty p but even with 20% off it is still £50 and I really can't sanction this as I'm off on hols at the end of this month and I won't need a cape.....
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hi all.

    Haven't posted for a while because I haven't spent any money...'til now.

This is not quite true - I got some money for my birthday in June which I spent on Summery stuff (not counted) and then I replaced all my undies & bras (not counted) and then I felt like I'd cheated a bit somehow!

Anyway, needless to say my wardrobe is at rock bottom again especially as I put some weight back on this year so have been wearing trousers that are a bit too tight for 6 months :( so I'm going to have to have a spend.

I started the other day as my local charity shop has had a re-vamp (looks a bit dauntingly posh now tbh - I preferred it a bit more rummagy) so I wanted to buy something to support it. I bought a purple v-neck t-shirt for £3 so I'd like to declare that please Lula. I haven't worn it yet though.

I need to sort my wardrobe now out and see what I need to get for Winter.

Hope everybody's doing well with the challenge...I'll go and start catching up from June now!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

I'm a single guy and so I've managed to survive this year on clothes I bought in previous years. So, total spend on clothes since 1.1.10 = nil. £0.00 - it can be done. I guess if you've got growing kids it might be impossible for for adults it's perfectly possible to go from one year to the next without spending anything on clothes.

I don't normlaly buy clothes for myself, but this year well i've lost weight and now the proportion of my old clothes don't fit me anymore.
so my balance would have been nil.

But my children, well thats a different matter, they like beanstalks and still growing!
