  • Went bonkers on Boden, and so I'm out! Happy new clothes everyone and thanks for organising the challenge, lula.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • So update on my trip to Pri***K yesterday - well I did buy a couple of things so here goes....

    1 pale pinky printed t-shirt £2.50
1 pair black stretchy bootleg jeans £4
    1 jumpsuit loungy type PJ's £3

So please Lula would you add on £9.50 to my total, thank you.

I did also stock up on undies, tights for winter and a new shopper bag for work, hair bobbles and a b'day pressie for a friend but they don't count!Hurrah!:T

Was taking a chance with the jeans - never even tried them on but just checked the length and when I got home I did try them on and they are fab!Just hope they wash ok.
Now I have a pair of decent all one colour jeans to go out in - and since I go out very rarely they should last me ages!lol

I even kept within my budget I gave myself of £15 so chuffed at that too!

After our shopping trip my DD3 and myself were treated to a meal. We were taken to a Italian cafe/restaurant nearby and I only had a glass of wine and a main course - I had the lobster ravioli and believe me it was amazing, I can still taste it now and every mouthful was just the best- that plate of food cost the same as the clothes I had just bought - bizarre - just makes you think really about the cost of everything and what we are willing to pay for certain things or experiences (at least I think that's what I am trying to say).

    Hmmmm food for thought methinks:)

I had a big throw out last week, then I looked in my wardrobe and realised that the new top and cardi I bought now no longer have 2 skirts I can wear them with, just 1 pair of trousers:eek::eek::eek:...will have to buy some new clothe sto go with them:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Whoops, just looking through my receipts and I forgot to add these from last month.

Needed a couple of sleeveless tops for work (long, long ago when the weather was warm...) but didn't have anything that wasn't low cut or gaped when I bent over (not suitable when working with under 5's!)

Got a New Look top, grey with black beads around neck and shoulders and a pretty flowered one from Peacocks in Barnardos, oh and a scarf for our Princesses and Pirates party (£7.87). Then saw a smart dress in Sue Ryder (£4.75).

Total now stands at £98.57

.......skulks away wondering where I'll be able to buy some new items for winter for £1.43.........

£10 to declare please Lula-Hula for Oasis black shift dress - has fantastic shoulder pads and a touch of the 80s/body con trend about it, I love it! Thinking smart enough for work, and can dress up to go out in the evening. :D

Hi all bought a lovley new jacket from my old work for £19 so my personal spend is now £27. Also bought some lovely black trousers for work so my work spend is £291. Moving jobs next week and going to one without uniform allowance so have had to get a few bits.

Going to ebay stuff from old work tomorrow though to help increase clothes budget. Haven't counted any ebay money so far but may have to start soon!

Went to clothes swap today, was AMAZING! Got 2 Monsoon evening dresses, a topshop blue fitted shift top with open back, a new with tag purple bow belt, zara stripy asymetric t-shirt, black asos balloon hip sun dress, a cotton ditzy print top and a red giant polka dot print shiny shift dress, all for absolutely nothing!! And cleared out some things I didn't want. Gave a £5 donation to enter, but am not going to count that as that was a charitable donation ;)

    Hi all,

Well I have well and truely lost track of my spends, I know it is over £120 though so guess I have failed, boo!

I got engaged a few weeks ago and apart from buying a new outfit for our day-away, I haven't even set foot in a shop for over 22 days now! That's an achievement for me, have realised that I need to and would rather save money for our house/wedding, so that's motivation enough for me.

I will still lurk to keep me on track and I will post if I cave in a buy something - my wedding dress won't count though! Well done everyone xx
