just wish I could wear thgings from when I was 15:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(55 now:(:(:()

I'm not one of those people that was a skinny teenager so fitting into a top from then isn't an amazing achievement!!!!

I have done some more spending - in both the Regatta and Mountain Warehouse sale. More stuff ready for my trek in October.

    So can I declare:

    £17.40

which is made up of £10.50 on a gilet and £6.90 on some walking trousers.

I have two tops coming from Mountain Warehouse but I'll wait until the stuff arrives before declaring it!!

I think I'm about there with clothes - apart from maybe a couple of fleeces so hopefully the spending will stop soon!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

went to town,1st time in weeks, spent an hour at the grafton centre(inc Debs) what a load of rubbish Debs like a jumble sale, don't know how they survive(was good when I worked there years ago)pity cos had £30 Debs vouchers:( also did not spend JL and wallis vouchers.

BUt after 2 hours with no spend I managed to buy a skirt from Phase eight that i had seen online, the one I tried had no reduction marked so checke dit was reduced and thrilled when instead of the £35 I expected(half price) she said it was £17.70:):):):):):):):):)

then went to Kew and bought a cami ,belt and cardi to match the skirt and another cami that will go with stuff I already have plus another t shirt from Marks and that was all:):A:A:Atotal was around £65.

I am having a change of image so don't feel bad, going from long straigh skirts to shorter(not mini at my age:eek:)fuller skirts and just bought 2 in purple a colour I rarely wear!

the skirt from yesterday is purple with duck egg flowers round the base and the cami is duck egg with a purple cardi.have also changed my hair colour to a much lighter golden brown(part dyed and part bleached by the sun with a plus that my grey has blended in better so won't need doing so often....kept looking at it in changing rooms as did not look like me!!!!)

DS2 has his degree ceremony next week so may wear new stuff there. He came to town with me and when we got home he showed me his new suit and treid various coloured shirts to ask my opinion of which was best, felt quite chuffed when he agreed my initial choice of white(before he started trying on) was good:)
  • I was disappointed with Debenhams sale too - or maybe I left it too long, although I did get new swimsuit in sale before holiday:beer: which was worth every penny (had magic support like spanx pants!)
:( Have to confess another buy - £15 on a cute neutral mac that should be a classic (and was reduced from £55). Smart enough for if a job ever comes along ......

    Evening all

Well after the successful finding of new jeans that have taken me months to track down I now manage to find a vest top in a charity shop- right size hardly worn black and from Top Shop (£1.75) and then a really nice dove grey t -shirt caught my eye in the same shop.

From New Look with a pretty print of faded butterflies in a Union Jack type of flag thing print - really liked it -goes with me and lots of my other things so bought it - and my justification for it was one of the t shirts I have at home has been put to the decorating pile so I needed to replace it! (£1.75 again) so total cost came to £3.50

So please can you change my signature Lula to

    £73 left

Feels really weird to have spent money though on clothes - although I was very tempted to go into Next Sale today but I managed to pull myself away - only just though :o

had a lovely weekend as DS girl Sarah came to stay, playe dsilly board games till very late each night and made afternoon tea with all the posh china(DS getting over his op now)

Asked Sarah about my choice of outfit for DS2s graduation and she liked my original choice of a dress and jacket worn a few years ago to a christening rather than the short skirt/purple cardi one....anyway we are taking DS2 to dinner the night before so will wear that then:).....still not sure what colour shoes/bag goes with

a/white dress with pink flowers and pink jacket and

b/ purple skirt and cardi with duck egg cami.....any ideas????

(dont say pink like Sarah did as I dont have any pink shoes/bags...or purple)

I have a pair of wedge sandals/evening shoes that are in a burnished pewter colour and big bag similar but not quiet same colour and these have come out frequently for outfits like this - in fact have worn them with loads of different colour schemes and it works fine. Sounds like a lovely couple of outfits too!

mmmmm I have 2 pairs of grey shoes(1 sandal type and 1 kitten heel)but no grey bag(threw mine out after having "colours" done:()I have a white bag but feel a bit "footballers" wife using it,plus the only white shoes I have are heeled mules....must have been having a WAG moment!!!!
I did spot a lovely purple bag at Debs but no time to go there now and of course the purple would not go with the pink outfit!!!so am guessing I will end up with boring black :(It's funny I thought Sarah would go for the purple outfit as the ponk one is a lot more "grown up" but she really seemed to love the pink one:rotfl:

may have to be naughty and go to Next sale(we have one nearer than town) to see if they have any bags.My bags are either very small bought years ago( and I am talking pre children here....YS now 21!!!)or very big bought in recent years when big bags came in but thye don't feel very dressy for a night out.....trouble is small bags now too small as I need to take glasses with me OMG:eek:

£2 to add please Lula-Hula, for a black River Island skirt. Is very vintage looking - A-line, panelled, evening stretch type fabric and a black petticoat poking out the bottom. I have bought a few black skirts recently, but I love my vintage looking clothes and can definitely wear this on nights out/evening events, and probably dress down with a cardi for the day :D
