Hi everyone, off to Leeds today and spending will be inevitable as my mum and sis are both shopaholics! My wardrobe is looking pretty threadbare though as I have had another purge, so as long as I keep within the budget it will be fine... will think of you on here, please send your no-spend vibes this way!!
ohhh I am so envious,I love Leeds shops

there is a lovely toiletries shop in the arcade that sells bath bombs that look like cakes,so pretty and you buy them in a box of six which make lovely pressies

    enjoy yourself

plus lovely cahe in the middle of the arcade for coffee
sorry dont remember names as it is 18 months since I was there

    Hi all,

Its been a while since I posted but I have been away from the shops and avoided temptation, until today.
I needed some new t-shirts so popped to Primark and bought 5 cheapies, will do me until autumn comes. So I am declaring £9 which brings my total to £40 for the year so far!

    Much love

Just bought a dress I already own - on purpose :rotfl:.

No, not the sign of a wardrobe out of control - I love love love this frock and it is beginning to wear away at the seams, and look like it might fall apart soon. I wear it every summer, and it is perfect for hot days, festivals, work, so was not looking forward to its impending retirement :(. Imagine my delight on seeing another one on the rails of the local charity shop! :T

It is a Noa Noa tea dress, dark grey with a darker leaf pattern. It also looks great with my winged waterfall navy cardigan I purchased the other week :D.

Total to declare: £4.99 please Lula-Hula.

Hi all, had a lovely weekend away and only have £11 to declare, for two tops, so not bad going. And only spent £6 in Cath Kidston too so feeling very :A

Luckily I have only just read Rosemary's post so didn't fall prey to the cupcake bath bombs, they sound like exactly the sort of thing I can't resist! Went to see Hairspray which was fab and also went to York yesterday, so all in all a tip top weekend.

Back to debt busting now! ;)

I am still trying to find a pair of jeans to replace the tatty ones that I own - did try on a pair of fatface ones in a charity shop today - for once the length was right and the colour but they felt a bit too tight and gave me that lovely "muffin top" kind of look - not a pretty sight.

So I checked the label inside (it was on a 12 hanger) and they were a 10 - so although I felt pleased i could squeeze into a 10 I was gutted they were a bit on the tight side so back on the rack they went - so the hunt for the jeans carries on.

I have also decided that I need a couple of vest tops -not the strappy ones and have also been hunting charity shops for those without success. And I have noticed the price of some of these types of tops in charity shops seem a bit high.A lot seem well "worn" for the price and manufacturer and the price may not have been far off the original price in the first place - so I may have to buy new from Matalan.

Anybody else notice this as well?

had to throw my "gardening" jeans as they tended to fall down when working:eek:trouble is they are a marks size 12 but the size 10 are sooooo tight I can hardly breather let alone work:(my problem is a lack of waist combined with small hips so trousers are a real problem which is a shame as I do have nice long slim legs so good fitting pants make me feel good!

I recently bought 2 short(well just below knee so short for me)skirts as a change form mid calf ones I usually go for and was amazed at how good the old pins looked:)...only prob is fat ankles (due to lymphodema) and big wide feet(due to genes!) which is why I like pants that cover all:rotfl:

will wear the skirts soon with belt(also a change as am short waisted so usually wear things over skirts)

just had a big sort out to give DS2 some wardrobe space and found all sorts of goodies I had forgotten about:)DS2 graduates this year and whilst looking at stuff realized I was still wearing mid calf skirt bought before DS1 graduated 4 years ago:eek:....time to give away?

Just how long do other ladies keep things??????

The other day I wore an old skirt to work, realised I had originally bought it when I started sixth form which was 14 years ago :o

My oldest thing is a long green fine knit jumper that I bought when I was about 15 (I'm now 34).

I wore it at the time with a long double layer skirt of a kind of chiffon, one black and one green layer. Plus my ever faithful Doc Marten boots.

It came from Miss Selfridge and was the first thing I ever bought on my own without being out with my parents or my friends!!!

It is funny really how some things date really really quickly but other bits last for ages. Some of things I wore when I was in my twenties were really frumpy and I have no idea why I chose them! I dress a lot better now!!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
