  • ebay top came and considering that it is BNWT I find it strange that it has two fag burns and a big dirty mark on it. Grrrr

  • oh dear gfh - I ALWAYS send the seller a question to ask specifically if there is any damage to the item - if they reply no - you can send it back as it is not 'as described' - however, if they just don't mention it and don't say in perfect condition, and you don't ask - then I don't think you have any comeback.

However, I don't buy clothes from ebay for that reason - may be a bargain but not iof when it comes it is damaged or doesn't fit - then it's a waste of money. I'll make do with my bulging wardrobe that I only wear about 40% of!

  • But BNWT - should mean just that. I'm pretty sure a seller would be on very shaky ground trying to argue the semantics of 'brand new with tag'. If you paid via Paypal you could claim your money back if you have no luck with seller offering a refund.

I've been doing this since January. But told myself NO new clothes in 2010! The only exception I gave myself was to buy an outfit for a wedding in February, and I have another in the summer, and possibly one in autumn, that I'm allowed new stuff for. Otherwise, NOTHING! And I've kept to it so far!
Because it's fun to have money!

    poor you gfh:(

Can't remember if you can - but is it possible to send photos to the seller of the problem?

BNWT ican be a difficult one sometimes - If its a business then yeah I would say it should come pristine but if its a private seller and from their wardrobe I would personally err on side of caution - chances are its true they haven't worn it (outside the bedroom that is!)but its been tried on several times -its just sat in wardrobe being pushed around for months, years even, been tried on,chucked on floor, picked up,flung back on a hanger, stood on,had a mate brush past with fag in hand....you get the idea?

Not everyone looks after their clothes like we do on here:AMayvbe you could send the seller the link to this forum - lol - they might need help!

Daft question but does it smell "newish" or "febre**ish" or "Just washed"? Might give you an extra clue.

I honestly don't see how you could get away with advertising something as BNWT and then having fag burns in it.

I see what you mean DebbieDeeJay but BNWT implies that it is like you have just got it from a shop ie. no damage.

And surely by not mentioning any damage it is implied that it is not damaged??

When I sell stuff on ebay I mention the damage and try and photograph it. Mostly it is minor hidden stuff but I'd rather someone knew than try and 'fool' them!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

Just thought I'd pop in to say no more spends, and so far am £10 off getting my money back for the jeans I bough on ebay that don't fit, and they still have nearly 3 days left to go!

There's a car boot on this weekend near me so going to pop down and see if I can find any jeans there....

  • Oooops!:o sorry - thought BNWT was 'bought new worn twice'!!

I agree - BNWT implies shop condition.
