    Lula - don't mention ebay jeans....

    The ones I declared on here arrived and are too short - even though apparently they are the same size as my other topshop jeans????!

    The seller wouldn't take returns so having to sell them on - doubt I'll make my money back, not impressed! May have to hunt through wardrobe (again) to see if there's anything I can sell to make up the difference...NOT happy.

    Hi lula I thought the Paypal gaurantee means if the item doesn't fit the description then you will get refunded through pp? Check the measurements with a tape measure yourself if its shorter than description contact pp for a refund.

    My friend recommended before buyt any clothes on ebay go into the shops (i.e. Topshop/River Island etc) and try on a selection of their clothes so you know what size fits you in that particular shop...

    ....Went in loads of clothes shops -Top shop(just love the lacy pastel vintage look- but mutton dressed as lamb or the Mad -Aunty- look comes to mind!) & Next were very tempting but stuck to my list of what I needed.....snipped....[/QUOTE]

    I thought I looked quite nice! :rotfl::o

    I remember the lacy pastel look from the late 70s early 80s -loved it then, love it now but sadly everything now is too short, so I suppose my poor old arthritic knees are saving me from some fashion crimes.

  • Forgot to mention that I have 3 new plain T shirts which someone bought but didn't like the fit on themself and couldn't be @rsed to return; they're perfect for wearing around the house and were much needed so I'm very pleased and grateful. :)

    I do this for all online items really. It certainly helps minimise returns; only EVER returned 4 online clothing purchases and this was PURELY because they didn't fit.
  • luxor4t - I quiet like the Mad Aunty look too - means I can get away with wearing the most daft combinations & colours!:rotfl:

    Managed to dispose of a coat, an odd sock, the partner of which has been MIA for over a year, and a pair of old pants which are way past their best. Still doing more decluttering but also saving up for a new pair of summer sandals, possibly, as I need to get ones with good ankle support due to a previous accident.

    Completely read that wrong.... thought it said "Managed to dispose of a cat in an odd sock"! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl:

    Nothing to declare :A

    (And have found a basic sewing class but can't get them to answer the phone to find out if there are any spaces left! Will keep you posted.)

  • Well I did also dispose of a pair of old socks yesterday and 3 old work shirts stained beyond repair.

    No new spends to report.

    I can assure everybody, however, that as I age I will NOT be wearing purple! (despite what the poem says) I look dead in it, so congratulations to all who survive it.

    Lula, no spends to report - the Ebay bridesmaids dresses are brilliant & I think we have found the wedding dress for £250 - fingers crossed!

    The sewing class is full :( But I can go on a day course in July. Given how long I've been unable to use my machine properly, I guess a few more months won't make a difference ;).
