  • Tried to find some buttons for a babys cardigan I have knitted(its the first piece of clothing I have knitted!-am a beginner) but shop not opened near to where I work - so tried the three charity shops nearby no luck either and I managed to stay clear of buying any clothing too-there were a couple of really nice tops & skirts too-but I kept telling myself I did not need anything and it worked. hurrah!

  • Hiya everyone,

Still no spends for the year!!! Yippee.

But I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to report a break in the drought soon. I've got a hen party for a friend coming up and we all have to buy new tops to be printed up :(

I'm really happy to be going, but a bit sad that my first clothes spend will be on a top that I can wear only once. I'm just gonna have to find a good deal on a top.

  • Hi Hula-Lula - you still accepting new members?

I would like to put myself down for £50 (as only starting in April).

My aim is to actually spend nothing as have got more clothes than sense and need to slim to get back into most of them. But I will set a limit of £50 JUST in case something REALLY catches my eye or if I want a new top for a particular night out or something later in the year.

However, my limit does actually include work clothes too - so I plan to only spend on tights and I do need a new item of underwear.

  • Well I am building up my funds rather than spending them! :j Another £6.05 earned on eBay.

Going to have a big switch-around of my wardrobe on the weekend, and hopefully find new things I've forgotten about, and some more things I can be without. :D

This is definitely helping me spend less money on clothes, even though its only for home clothes, I haven't bought anything for work, although I have bought a new skirt for a wedding next month. It's made me really think whether I need something.:T

    Hello :)

Can I join in with this please? So far this year have spent £0 on clothes and this is on anything - ie no shoes, bags, underwear etc etc. Am very pleased with myself. Am hoping to continue this way as long as possible although would like a total of £50 for everything for the year as feel I may need something at some point.

Also need to work out how to do sigs here...

  • more spends to declare! £3.20 on a pair of trousers (French Connection, so very pleased!:)) and a pair of pjs for £3.96 (this included for me as my £300 is for everything) so my new total is £88.57. This challenge has definately helped me reduce the money I spend on clothes :D, however I am starting to feel my clothes collection has lost its shiney apperance and I did walk longingly past all the high street shops when I met my friend in town on monday...

    I must be strong! :o
