Hi Lula :hello:
I haven't spent any money on clothes since I declared the cardi ....neither have I planned, plotted, schemed, hypnotised Mr Luxor, begged or pinched : in fact I am pure as the driven .... well, anyway, no clothes :T
I did get 3 pairs of Fairtrade socks in Boots for a grand £1.50 (reduced & 342) but they are to replace worn out socks & don't count as they are underwear.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Hi
I knowI am a bit late joining but can you put me down for £150 for this year please - have spent £22 so far on a tracksuit top and bottoms as I am starting to go swimming and its easier to change into afterwards, walking - they are comfy for that and also cycling - ditto.
I am hoping not to spend this much as I have drawers full of clothes that I can't get into and therefore am trying to lose weight hence all the exercise. I would then have a wardrobe full of new clothes as many still have tags on:D.
But until that time comes I would like to spend as little as possible. I am going to read back the rest of the thread to see how everyone is getting on.0 -
Hi. I know I'm out of the challenge but I can't seem to go cold turkey from you all. I think you have all taught me something useful. Even though I am now going to allow myself some items, I'm going to be very careful and really consider whether I actually need something new or whether I can just revamp an item or even just wear something that has been lurking unworn at the back of the cupboard. Lula, I think I am going to try to spend £100 or less a month. You're right, that does seem really extravagant after this challenge but it doesn't go all that far these days. I know I've been the most extravagant person on this thread but I've been working to pay off my debts for some time now. It feels really good that I don't owe anyone any money, so keep going everyone, it will be worth it when you get there and you're developing good habits along the way.Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0

Hi everyone :hello:
Can I join in this crazy challenge and pledge to not spend more than £100 on any clothes this year? This sounds like such a good idea!
Well so far this year, all clothes I've bought have come from Christmas vouchers. My grandad also very kindly bought me a few jumpers recently. So I haven't spent anything myself yet on clothes. Also I'm very close to my next £10 voucher from pigsback, yay!! :T
K x0% overdraft runs out 30/06/10: £577.17/£1000; PAD: £495.99; NSD: March 8/15;Crazy Clothes Challenge 2010: £0/£100;Bring Lunches to Work Challenge: March 4/11;£1 jar: ???? - I'm consciously trying not to keep a count of what goes into my £1 jar. Hello all
I've been really busy in the last month with uni and have just about spent my budget
I brought some RI jeans for £39.99. My old ones had torn at the knees from that much wear, so I had to get some new ones
I brought boots from newlook for £15.00, which was a good thing cus my other ones heel came off last week. Bye bye booties.
I've also brought two tops, £15.00.
And most likely a few other things.
Today I need to go into town to get some nursey shoes that cover my feet for uni on Tuesday.
Sorry guys, I think I'm going to have to pull out. I'm quite proud of myself though, I've managed to save £650.00 last month, and it will be about the same this monthThanks for all the support guys! I'll pop back and see ho you's are all getting on! :T x

Morning all,
welcome to MaisieM & Kellz01 :hello: happy to have you aboard.
Happy New Clothes nicole.17 well done on saving so much money in the last month :T
Blonde Ambition - I totally agree that £100 doesnt go far if buying decent stuff. I've got to be totally honest here & admit that while I'm happy to get a bargain, I really hate buying from cheap shops.
Apart from the knowledge that someone, somewhere is being exploitedin order for us to have those clothes so cheaply I actually feel that *takes deep breath* at my age, I shouldnt be buying cheap tat; I should have enough dispsosable income not to have to

Luxor ... pure :rotfl:0 -
went to dance practice last night in a skirt I had not worn for a while,a Windsmoor size 12 with elasticated waist(my waist is more 34 than 24 inches by the way and my hips are only slightly larger)it felt so loose that I ended up tucking it into my knickers top:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(control ones) as I was afraid it would fall down:(:(:(
I should do soemthing with it but am going to donate it to little sister who is doing so well at losing weight now she is finally off the anti cancer drugs:)
so I will need to replace it:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Luxor ... pure :rotfl:
and modest too
Just got back from collecting my (free) bag of prescriptions & found £1 02p on the road. How cool is that?
Dropped in to the CS so DH could find another book and I spotted a skirt that will team up with at least 2 summer blouses & 2 spring/autumn cardigans so, I declare a skirt £2 (leaving me £138)I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Haven't posted for a while, but I have been avoiding the shops, and recycling the clothes that I have already.
Last month I went to Bravissimo. There isn't a branch nearby. Anyway I needed some new underwear as the old stuff was getting a bit small, despite starting a new diet every Monday! Spent more than I planned, but underwear doesn't count.
This week I had to buy a tiara for fancy dress. The rest of the costume I borrowed from my mum. Got a children's plastic one from Claires. Don't think this counts either for the challenge (jewellery?)
So still declaring total spend of £7.29!:TNeed to lose 23lb, but need help!:( DFW Weightwatcher: 5lb/26lbDecluttered in Feb - 49/100, Mar - 82/100
Decluttered in April - 0/100
