went to work yesterday(in a school) feeling very chic in layers of orange and black(after seeing lots of orange and black in East)trousers/top in black, cardi in orange, silk scarf in bands of dark to light orange, black leather jacket, amber jewelry( even my lip gloss was peach:rotfl:)

the "look" lasted all of 2 minutes as it was like a sauna in school and i quickly ended up in black top and trousers:(:(:(

oh well I did try and look good without buying new clothes:rotfl:

Another £15 spend for me today - realised I don't have a Spring/ Summer jacket so got this in New Look sale - http://www.newlook.co.uk/1862582/186258201/ProductDetails.aspx

Was aiming to not spend more than £25 by end of March - splitting the year into quarters - so OK so far!

My new clothes came today from bargain crazy four skirts and a top and they are lovely really good quality wasnt expecting much but i thought they would do me around the house but they are too good for that best 5p i ever spent i just wish i could get more.

Where did you find such a bargain!?
Think I'm gonna spend this Sunday sorting out all the current clothes that I have got as I often find some little gems that I had forgotten about! I've got 2 weddings soming up later this year so gonna have to really try and be good and not buy new outfits for both :p

I just did that on Sunday past FirstTimeSaver. I've now at least 3 blue Ikea bags of clothes to ebay or car boot. And all my clothes fit into one bit of my 3 door wardrobe! It's been very cathartic! Go for it.
Maybe I should start a girly thread for pennypinching makeovers! Whatcha think?

Excellent idea Chillout. Could you also start one on "How to work your sewing machine". I've had mine for a couple of years and I still take hours to thread it up and cannot figure out the tension, so it's not put to the use it could be!

Though I'm feeling thrifty today as - as part of my big clearout, I have a pile of "off-white" clothes... two tops now transformed into bright pink tops, one is turquoise and will be looking for black machine dye to transform too light trousers into decent work trousers :A.

Oh, and I was a very good girl at the car boot sale on Sunday morning and managed only to buy some very new looking Clarks wedges for £2 and no clothes :D.

Just reporting in to say that I have still only spent £2.50 this year on some bed socks :j This challenge is really making me think - "do I need it?" so thank you :)

Incidentally, I bought them in Jan and haven't worn them yet - did I need them? NO! But they were in the sale....!!!

took top back to marks today and bought £6 of knickers(these don't count!!!)
was very nearly v bad in Kew as OH came with me and said I should buy the cardi I had been lusting after since last week!!!......v annoyed as the large was too small and they don't do EXL in it :(.....by the way I take a 14/16 in tops so their sizes are not at all generous!!!)

just been checking my Kew top and it is a medium!!!!so how can a large cardi from kew be too small???????????It is bad enough having to wear diferent sizes form different brands but when the sizes in the same brand are so different:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

wish we could go back to the "good old days" when british standard sizes applied to all makes and a size 12 meant you had a 24 inch waist!!!
(I wear a size 12 in Windsmoor and believe me I am nowhere near a 24 inch waist mores the pity!!!!!!)

Still no spend here... and it's March. Am clearing my Next Directory off and not adding to it. Just wish I could be as controlled in other areas of my spending life.
