Yep, I do it all the time. Just cut them up, wash and then freeze in portion sizes. No need to blanch. I just then lob them, still frozen, into a saucepan with butter and once they're soft and cooked, make a cheese sauce around them or lob them, frozen, into a casserole or stew. You need to add them as part of a dish though. If you let them defrost before cooking, they go terriby limp

thank you will be using them for soup, stews etc

 At me....why am I procrastinating? Still have mince pies to make, kitchen and living room to tidy and an early night to have :p

Two children still eating their pre-bed snack and won't be hurried.

Spent rather longer than expected at my Dad and Stepmum's today - had planned to have cup of tea, drop presents off, let littleys open theirs then home, but stepmum had laid on a spread, so we stayed for lunch. Didn't get away for quite a long time, then the ring road around Oxford was solid, so took 40 mins to get home (normal 15-20 mins), then had to do final tesco shop (actually this wasn't as bad as expected - once we got a parking space ).

All of the above has completely, absolutely and totally thrown me out for today...I'll be playing catchup for the next couple of hours (if, indeed, I can be bothered!).

Right, hope you all have a good evening.
Take care, and hugs to anyone who needs one (or, like me, is feeling totally frazzled!).
    D

    Well done Lil_me - that's fantastic!

I can't remember if I told you all but I've found out that I passed my two diplomas that I finally submitted in November:D.

I seem to be falling apart. I went to a friends house for carols/mince pies and fell over my friend's daughters clarinet (the clarinet is fine but I have a lump on the inside of my knee that wasn't there before!). Ouch!

Also, I've suddenly developed a load of mouth ulcers - I never have mouth ulcers. Oh well:confused: it will help with the weight loss I guess .

    My list:

    Tonight we also need to:
    - download games onto DD's new phone
    - download an itunes voucher
    - print out a photo for my mum and dad from my sister

    Wednesday list completed!
