I can't believe how rude I've been - DUSTY - a MASSIVE thank you for the cinema coupon and Christmas card. They arrived this morning. We're going to go tomorrow afternoon and I really appreciate you sending that xxxx

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations - I found out on Monday and can't believe I forgot to tell you all!

Regarding the mouth ulcers - I think it's probably down to being run down as I've had a cold and sore throat. I don't think it's stress unless I'm stressed because I'm not stressed!:rotfl:Everyone keeps telling me I'm to calm considering it's nearly Christmas - they've obviously not found this thread!

DH is doing DS cards and mobile phone games :T then he's off out for a few pints so I get peace and quiet :T.

Quick s/s as nothing on television xx

Pen, you post away....I'll be round at 3pm ok?:rotfl:
    .

We've now decided that we're off for a walk on the wolds tomorrow, rather than our usual trip to the seaside for fish and chips. We'll be back around 4, so let yourself in and plump up some cushions, if you don;t mind :D

Looks exceptionally good Pen Pen - but how about some dips to dip the crisps and twiglets in? ~ducks behind the sofa just in case~ :D

I'll dip you in something, if you;re not careful :rotfl:

I so VERY dare you to even try :p

    Hi Cool Dude!

Actually, that reminds me of when I sent a text to DD this morning in a fit of motherly angst to see'f she'd got to work OK in the car. Her reply was along the lines of:

" yes, the drive was fine but I slipped and fell over on the pavement outside the house on the way to the car which was unfortunatly witnessed by the fit guy who lives across the road"

Getting there slowly but surely with the washing, phew.
Kitchen looking good except i need to do the floor, the mop buckets outside it wouldn't be a problem except our front door just gave up on us and we can turn the handle full circle and it won't open:mad:, might try it from the outside thats if i don't break me neck on the path. It was sticking awful earlier think it was the cold (-5 here today). So thats another thing needed to be sorted.

DW on and WM, still need to get 2 kiddies to bed and then i'll hoover right through.

    Mudbath Well Done.:T:T:T
Penpen i'll be there for 4 then.:D:rotfl:Sounds lovely.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

And Frodders - well done on the cake turning out of the tin and not falling to bits. I always fear that when I bake cakes.

Thanks soappie - I'm particularly pleased as it's the first time I've used my Christmas tree shaped tin so was expecting corners to drop off :rotfl:

Mudders - well done! Glad the coupon arrived, we're planning on going to see Nativity tomorrow

What sweets can I make out of left over marzipan for FiL?

Feeling really happy that for the first chirstmas ever I only have the nice stuff left to do. Thank you to each and everyone of you who has posted over the year, it is amazing what a list can do to focus the mind. Soappie I'm sure you will remember how stressed I was this time last year. I have learnt so much for all of you - thank you!

Going to watch BJ now with the receipts and the cava which I'm getting through rather quickly!

soappie oh my the shame for her, hop her pride isn't too dented & her bum ain't too sore
    Mudbath well done
Triker well said, I would have too

Ok I gave in, we now have a tree, for the pricely sum of £4.99 instead of £74.99 :D in Homebase. Gift wrap for under 30p, tags for 9p wooottt, saved enough to buy the tree!! So in a race to the finish DP has helped (no he doesn't have a temperature) sort the rest of the LR/DR, we have had dinner at the table for the first time here :o and he might even decorate it with the boys...or help. Not been grocery shopping yet, going later, might go now if he will do the tree, was packed & no spaces so came home to finish sorting. Oh and DPs Dad's present is missing, argh!
One day I might be more organised...........

So my day went like this: 6.30 get up, wash, breakfast, put in bedclothes, wrap DS1's presents, 7.45 wake DD, 8.30 wake DS2, and take DD to work. Shop in town, 11am coffee at home (10 mins), shop in S'bury, 1.pm, pick up DD from work, home for lunch (7 minutes) doctor's appt for DD, then Argos, Matalan and TK Maxx, drop DD in town, and collect DS2 and friend. Home - tea and read book for 30 minutes, wrap up OH's presents, pick up DS1 from town, then cook dinner, wash up, sort out presents....

collapse at pc to catch up with forum. :D Just about to have a cup of tea. Tomorrow doesn't look quite as busy....

Wow lil_me that was some bargain!

Dusty if you have any chocolate, you could melt that over the marzipan and make chocolate coated marzipan. Or, you could use it to stuff pitted dates. Or, just make them into marzipan fruits with food colouring and a bit shaping. SIL uses marzipan in the bottom of her mince pies, and it's yummy.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
