Soappie I'm sure you will remember how stressed I was this time last year. I have learnt so much for all of you - thank you!

I do hun, and it's been good to see you less stressed this year. I've noticed you've had a couple of wobbles but generally you're doing grand. Keep it up gal, you'll get there in the end!

soappie oh my the shame for her, hop her pride isn't too dented & her bum ain't too sore

Thanks Lil-me :D She has a lovely bruise on one elbow and a tender spot on one hip. She said she did a sort of River Dance foot movement accompanied by an almost full split as she went down. She said she saw the fit guy across the road look at her and then do almost the same thing on his driveway without the actual falling on the floor bit... Maybe that was his attempt at a mating dance! :rotfl: And well done on your fantastic bargains ....

Sausage rolls out of the oven, cooled and in fridge (and test driven of course!) taste lovely. Dinner demolished, washing up done. I'm just waiting for a fairly respectable hour (i.e. 10pm) before gratefully crashing into my bed to sleep extraordinarily deeply.

I just had to add this so that you don't all think my Christmas is going perfectly!

I got back from lovely carols etc at my friends to find old lady (dog) has weed all over the kitchen floor (second time today), DH cooked pizza for the children and we all forgot about it so the smoke alarm let us know there was charcoaled pizza in the oven, ds had a late night last night at his sleepover so was over tired when he went to bed and had an almighty tantrum. It was spectacular though he soon stopped when I started rolling on the floor laughing at him - sorry, but he just looked so funny. In the end he was laughing too but then he got annoyed at me and was about to throw a teddy at me until I gave him the evil eye (great to know I've still got it). I then took the dogs outside for a wee and my neighbour spotted me over the fence and called hello. Stripes decided to launch herself over the fence and nearly took me with her. I eventually got her back inside and went to print off the last pictures of Jinky the reindeer only for the printer to run out of ink (again) and when changing it I got myself and Stripes covered! She has rather more spots than she had. I then went to get myself a well deserved glass of wine (medicinal to numb the ulcers) and dropped the bottle of wine on the kitchen floor so it had to be cleaned - yet again!!

Oh yes, my Christmas is perfect!!:rotfl:

Few more things of the list, DS2 is sporting an extra small head after he nearly knocked himself out, his bump is the size of an egg.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Thanks for all your birthday wishes for DD2...she's had a great time this evening with everyone round. She loved her chocolate butterfly birthday cake and her favourite present is definately her light up 3 wheeler silver scooter that DH and I got her.

DD1 wasn't so happy though...think she found it hard with DD2 getting all the fuss and all the presents!!! She was desperate to have a go of DD2's new toys. Had a chat with her when she went to bed just to say I understood how she felt and gave her a big hug. I'm sure she'll get over it within the next 48 hours!!!!

I have been a good girl and kept downstairs tidy and cleared the pots away, wiped all the worksurfaces and table and swept the floor (for the 2nd time today!) Just upstairs to sort out tomorrow. Off to get PJ's on now and collapse on the sofa with DH and watch Spooks, then straight to bed. Night night everyone.

Mudbath...I find bonjela teething gel works wonders on my ulcers. Hurts like hell when you first put it on but then numbs it enough so you can eat. Well done on your diploma results!:j

:mad::mad::mad: I am going to sound really ungrateful now but I'm not really just mad. DD has just asked me a question about one of the things that was on my Christmas list which presumably DH and her had bought today for me.The trouble is its the wrong one, I was really specific (and I know its only a calender but when you're a mum you have to have what works) and I'd had my list ready weeks ago for them to choose from and they leave it until last minute. Plus DS had already told me that the shop hadnt got the one I wanted unless he is bluffing so he could have easily discussed with his sister what they were getting. Nobody makes an effort except me and now of course she has spoilt my surprise as well.:mad::mad::mad:

    Sorry rant over

I guess its just worse because AF arrived 4 days early, I'm tired and I keep forgetting to eat and I'm trying to get all downstairs done including moving furniture that I should have decided to do weeks ago, still at least I didnt try and move the piano.

Right I better go and make a brew

sorry ladies just needed to vent
